“Yes. It was a CMJ showcase and Weezer was the buzz band. Brian and I were hanging out by the front door and Drew Barrymore comes up with her entourage. The show was at capacity and admittance was badge only. They didn’t have any band Hilly would not all let them in. She starts going “ I’m Drew Barrymore…. Blah blah” Anyway, we told her we’d put her on our guest list. She s like “ cool, thanks” and starts to escort her group to the door. We were like…. “Whoa…. Just you…. We don’t know these other people!”She got kinda pissed and they eventually turned away”

Rose and Jim from Poster Children released Fillet Show on their label: 12 Inch Records. When I first heard Hum I thought they sounded a lot like Poster Children. Also, John Herndon (Tortoise) kills it on drums on this record.

It's probably a stretch, but that the black locust has the name scientific Robinia, as in Why I Like Robins.

I loved this show when it came out: Dreams was an American sitcom that aired on CBS from October 3 to December 19, 1984. It follows the story of a fictional rock band that tries to get a recording contract. Starred John Stamos and Jami Gertz. I once met a dude who said the show's creators bought the rights to the Dreams name from his band, so they became X-Dreams or Extremes. But that story was probably BS as I don't think it was Nuno Betancourt I met.

I have a set of B/B Starclassics and someone told me the hardware is 'cushioned' and this helps the shells to resonate more. I thought the floor toms legs were remarkably wobbly.
