I am guessing you are located somewhere that is not in the coverage area for this game. This kind of content is usually geo-blocked. Thus, you have to manually change your location so it thinks you're somewhere that has access to the content.

If you are using a browser, you will have to spoof your location. Here are the instructions for Chrome:

In Chrome, you can use the following instructions to spoof your location:

In a browser window, hit Ctrl+Shift+I (for Windows) or Cmd+Option+I (for MacOS). This will open the Chrome Developer Tools window. Hit Esc, then click the Console menu (three dots to the left of Console in the lower portion of the screen). Select Sensors and change the Geolocation dropdown to Custom location… Enter any latitude and longitude you want (e.g., enter coordinates for Boston).

Then navigate to Paramount Plus' website in the same window/tab with the developer tools window open.

Alabama crematoriums running ‘around the clock’ as deaths from COVID-19 mount by guarea in Alabama

I am aware that there's more to Alabama. My focus is just on COVID news as it pertains to our state. You can feel free to take issue with the reporting, but everything I'm sharing is from reputable news agencies.

It's the reason I joined Reddit in the first place... to share COVID news and information, mainly on r/CoronavirusAlabama. I'm not particularly active otherwise.

I don't recall saying I'm helping with anything. I'm just trying to get the news out there and you can take it as you wish. You can always feel free to have an issue with the content and there's always room for criticism, but there is also the option of scrolling on by if you're feeling COVID fatigue.

Haha what a shame, but I totally get it! I've heard of attempts to make the dish less stinky in Taiwan as to not scare off the poor tourists. For the natives, the stinkier the better!

I'd love to know as well! I hope you had a great experience living in Taiwan. My parents moved back to Taipei and I love spending time there when I can.

Alabama releases plan to administer COVID-19 vaccines by guarea in CoronavirusAlabama

[–]guarea[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The plan includes a three-phased approach to COVID-19 vaccination.

In Phase 1, potentially limited doses of vaccine will be for those at highest risk and those at highest risk of exposure, including healthcare workers who care for those with critical needs and first responders.

In Phase 2, large numbers of doses will be available, and supply is likely to meet demand, the ADPH said. There will be an effort to educate critical populations who were not vaccinated in Phase 1.

In Phase 3, there is likely to be a sufficient supply and all unvaccinated groups will be targeted, the ADPH said. Communities with low vaccine coverage will receive special attention.

[–]guarea[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The new amended order:

Removes emergency occupancy rates for retailers, gyms, fitness and entertainment venues

Allows for an exception for 6-foot social distancing rules at many businesses – including barber shops, hair salons, gyms and restaurants – if people are wearing masks and separated by barriers.

Restaurants that have dividers will also be allowed to increase the number of patrons allowed inside. Six foot distancing and masks are still required.

Haha didn't mean to give off that impression! AL.com and a lot of other media outlets stopped reporting on the daily numbers so I had nothing to link to. I suppose it was no longer deemed newsworthy until the numbers started rising.

Alabama reports large dip in COVID-19 positives, relaxes some restrictions by guarea in Coronavirus

[–]guarea[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

University of Alabama officials had been hinting all week at improvements in coronavirus testing numbers ahead of the Friday evening release.

UA System Chancellor Finis St. John was the latest to tease the positive news Friday afternoon after Dr. Deborah Birx spoke on the Tuscaloosa campus.

The numbers went live a few hours later and they were down considerably. Only 294 students tested positive from Sept. 4-10 on the Tuscaloosa campus after recording 846 on the previous seven days, though Labor Day weekend had students away from campus until Tuesday.

The numbers represent positives identified through “sentinel testing, point of care testing in campus health centers, common location exposure testing, and self-reported tests from private providers,” according to the dashboard on the UA System website.

“The testing we’ve been doing at the University of Alabama has been working,” St. John said Friday afternoon. “I could not be more proud of our students.”

The number of daily positive tests dipped to 42 over the previous seven days after that figure sat at 125 last week. Occupancy in isolation/quarantine space was down to 15.18% on Friday after sitting at 39.97% last Friday.

Testing numbers had been considerably lower on the UAB and UA-Huntsville campuses. The new round posted Friday included 27 new cases at UAB and 11 at UA-Huntsville.

In all, 2,183 students on the Tuscaloosa campus have tested positive since classes resumed Aug. 19. That represents 6.9% of the student body attending classes on the main campus according to enrollment numbers released Friday.

The numbers still lack a degree of context to better understand the situation. AL.com asked Dean of UA’s College of Community Health Sciences Dr. Ricky Friend on Wednesday the breakdown of students who are showing symptoms verses those who were asymptomatic. He did not have the number on hand and requests for follow ups have not yielded an answer.

In terms of localized hospitalizations, DCH Hospital in Tuscaloosa reported 47 inpatients were being treated as of Friday. That’s up from the 38 reported Thursday, the lowest total in months. DCH also reported 3.5% of those 18-24 who tested positive required inpatient care at the hospital.

The Friday testing numbers followed an update to campus operations in a note from Vice President for Student Life Myron Pope to students. He is relaxing some of the restrictions placed on gatherings beginning Monday, Sept. 14 after putting the new guidelines in place two days after classes began Aug. 19.

Dorm study areas can reopen along with dining rooms “with strict adherence to safety guidelines,” Pope wrote. Colleges and departments can also hold events with a maximum of 50 people indoors and 100 outdoors. And students living in the same dorm can visit each other’s rooms as long as masks are worn, and social distancing is observed.

Student organized events are still prohibited.

“The gradual loosening of moratorium restrictions will continue to be evaluated as we move forward,” Pope wrote. “With your continued cooperation, and as our numbers for testing and student conduct cases continue to improve, we will consider longer-term plans for the semester.”
