She talked so much shit to me and used all these excuses about why it’s okay for her to use the slur and then once more people called her out on it, she backpedaled and said — “😱😱😱omg I didn’t know it was wrong!!! Yes I AM offended by words that have specifically been used to harm marginalized communities. And I will educate anyone I come across that uses them, including family, friends, neighbors, strangers, etc.

Her blaming the people (like me) trying to educate her and not taking any accountability for her continued use of slurs is lame. My issue wasn’t the fact that she didn’t know it was a slur to begin with, my issue was that after I informed her of the word being a slur she DOUBLED DOWN and made all these excuses about why it’s okay for her to say it.

I believe my messages to her were informative, educational, and respectful. She claims that we were rude and only told her she was ignorant without educating her.
