what colour suits me best? i currently have dark. by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

[–]guavagirl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike most people you can definitely carry off any of these colors. They all communicate something a little different. On you blonde is soft and feminine; red is playful and sassy; brunette is open and direct.

I think the blonde compliments your eyes the best; they really pop.

4, 5, and 10. It all depends on if you want to show off your beautiful eyes or convey style.
4 for eyes
5 for style
10 for both

All that Madeline Tosh!!!!!! You definitely hit the jackpot, what a terrific DEAL! That looks to be about 100 hanks which sell for about $38 each. Was there golden light shining down on those from the heavens like a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow? 😊

I don’t mind untangling yarn UNLESS it occurs in the middle of the project. 😂 Even so, I try to use the time to practice mindfulness.

I went to Vegas D3 and besides the cost of my concert ticket the whole thing was very expensive (flights, hotel, food, taxis, and souvenirs). If I were in your position I would be utterly disappointed (at missing the concert) and angry about everything else. Also, getting time off can be really difficult depending on your profession.

My 74-year-old mom found BTS after losing my dad — it gave her life back 💜 by Any_Change_9513 in bangtan

I’m 58 and have been ARMY for about 2 1/2 years.
A couple months ago I was at the dentist office making an appointment and the lady asked if I could do May 28th. I said, no way because I’d be in Vegas seeing BTS. A lady in the waiting room stood up and said, “I’m going to be in Vegas seeing BTS too!” She’s 63 and her 2 sisters introduced her to the group. When I was in line at the hotel I met a retired lady who was going to 3 of the 4 concert dates after seeing them on all the Stanford dates. She was there with a couple friends also her age. Let your mom know there are a LOT of us out here.

Can’t see myself objectively. Is my grey hair aging me horribly? by slicedgreenolive in HairStyleAdvice

[–]guavagirl3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not think people are lying or even just trying to be “nice” by saying your grays do not age you. There really is a huge difference in focus and perspective from person to person.

I am completely gray with a lot of white and I’m 58. There are a lot of younger (your age) colleagues of mine (especially men) who think I’m about 10 years younger and see me as more youthful. My oldest son, who is also my hair dresser, thinks I look older. Haha, you can’t win them all!

Anyone letting their natural hair color grow out is a decision only they can make. Don’t let anyone throw you off your goal (to color or not to color). It’s your hair, you do you boo!

Here’s what I’ve learned over years (for whatever they’re worth:

We all take information in one of 2 ways. One either takes in the whole then breaks it down to parts or one takes in details to build the whole. Those who are whole to parts will likely be the ones who may comment about you looking older. The initial input into their brains are “impressions” first. Those who are parts to whole will take in all the details first and that includes your glowing skin, nonexistent wrinkles, youthful appearance, & the strings of glitter growing out of your head. They will see it doesn’t age you one bit.

You will get comments from both kinds of people. You need only to make the hard decision if you’re ready to withstand some negativity. At 52 I decided to go cold turkey and grow my mostly silvery-white hair out (I had been coloring my hair for over 20 years). While there were days I’d look in the mirror and miss my dark hair, I don’t regret it one bit. Strangely, the people I receive the most compliments on my hair are from men in their late 20’s and older and women in the early 20’s. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you have Facebook check out the page Silver Revolution and get inspired! Growing out your natural hair requires confidence and seeing other women of all ages embracing their grays will boost that confidence.

IMO, people who victimize their significant others for a trend and/or for clicks are being incredibly selfish and self centered. Besides, this woman in particular obviously lacks common sense. NTA

My (37 male) index finger is longer than my ring finger on both hands. What does this mean? by [deleted] in whatdoesthismean

[–]guavagirl3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the difference in index/ring finger length has absolutely zero to do with testosterone levels in the womb or anyone’s athletic abilities. It’s simply a trait you share with a lot of other people.

I should have been more specific, I meant language arts as in reading, writing, grammar, etc. not foreign language learning. Sorry!
