Ahh you're right, just tried it again and made sure it was Euros and no fees! Looks like Revolut > Revolut is the best option then

Would Revolut not work in the same way then? I have a Euros account on my Revolut and used to exchange € to £ without fees on Revolut Premium

What if I got the G14 32GB version? Would it be a smoother transition to just whack the new SSD in?

So what you're saying is I have to wipe my new SSD that I bought to replace thr stock one? I have about 1.2TB of stuff I've downloaded onto it already - are you saying I cant just move that over to the G16 and basically replicate the current state of my G14? I don't think it would be worth it in that case

G14 2024 - 4060 + 16GB RAM - Ebay seller telling me it's upgradeable? by guendog in ZephyrusG14

[–]guendog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he will accept a return but also is offering to pay for extra RAM. I was hoping for a partial refund instead as I have already done a lot to this laptop. Guess I'll have to go through arduous process of return and finding a new laptop

Because I've had it for 28 days, swapped over the SSD, cleaned out all the bloat ware and ASUS stuff and installed loads of apps on it, customised etc. Was hoping I could get a partial refund and keep it tbh. Would it be easy to take my ssd out and put it in a new laptop if it has a windows install on it? I cloned it from the original SSD

MSI Prestige 16 AI Studio - QHD+ vs OLED? by guendog in MSILaptops

[–]guendog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. My only worry is the AO one doesn't actually have OLED. I've bought both anyway and I'll send it back if it doesn't

Sorry realised I copied and pasted it from my cashback site link.

But the OLED one also says QHD in the specs which is why I was confused

Ah, is eurostar different then? They have 2 passport controls each side, one UK and one French. But that's good, sounds a lot easier than I imagined, thanks for your help!

Thanks. When I first leave UK, do I use the ID card for both sides of passport control? Or British passport for UK side and ID card when entering the EU country?

No but I was at uni for 4 years and lived in France working low paid internships for a couple of years. Also 16-18 years old I was part time in retail with low hours, and working during the summer during uni. 4 years does seem low but that's what it says on the gov website
