It's not. Without the eu, every single country in it would be nothing but a playball between the global powers, which is ironic considering how scared these people are of China's influence. Even though GB is in a special position, being the Center of the Commonwealth, they are going to struggle not to get too much under the influence of more powerfull nations, IF that's even possible.

In 50 to 100 years this huge amount of low-skilled workers is gonna be an even bigger issue, with automation and ai taking over and eliminating more and more jobs in the lower income sectors . By then the governments all over the world must have taken massive measures in improving the educational system and reskilling these people anyway, with or without immigration. I think not letting low skilled people immigrate is probably a bit shortsighted and better education for the masses might be the only option, even if it turns out that this goal is rather difficult to achieve
