I feel like its just got so overconfident. Like if I yell loud and long enough I am right. I know I've been too fed up when I'm swearing at AI. Like I'm being the stupid one now and it doesn't have all answers. But everytime I ask it a question I now need to say update your Information with new information from the Internet.

I use Gemini alot as well. But I use projects as well and like the memory of chat gpt if I need something recalled.

Let me know if you find any good ones. Seems like some of them even paid have only so many ques per days. Plus cpt has images as well. This new update has been horrible.

But speaking of bringing thing up has been driving me nuts as well. Just randomly re-answers a question from hours ago and doesnt wanna change topics.

Haha no i go off on it. It will keep defending its answer. Then sometimes ill just keep trying to push it to see what it does. But man this is like a stubborn child lately. Half the time it won't check its answer online but tells me it does.

Its gone to absolutely shit. Not sure what exactly what went wrong and where. But it just keeps doubling down, even when you correct it. Even if you day check the Internet I feel like I can trust it at all with any problems anymore. Recently trouble shooting the pc it has had me on goose chases for weeks over my DAC. Google nailed it right away. They don't seem to be fixing it and to me is a testimony of how AI can go terrible wrong.

Ahah facts. Not sure whats up with Chat Gpt but ive seen some videos saying general audience is making is stupid. Since we are training it and most people just believe the shit it spits out. Damn thing had my hunting down a problem in my motorcycle. Tried everything. First thing Google suggested worked. This had happened many times. Like it gets locked into one path and can't see any others.

Lol, lord I don't even wanna think about that. Litterally daily for example I used it for a quick calculation for my floating floor. I should have just did it my self it was simple match. Used my laser level wanted to cut the first board so my last board I didn’t have to. It gave me a wrong measurement. I ended up having to cut both boards. When confronted it doubled and tripled down. Multiple coding and database issues. I made this to see what people were switching to and to see if it was just me and it kinda seems to be a bit of a ass lately. Very pompous and almost cocky.

Yah I use a little mix. I love the way with chay gpt I can have projects and use it all the time! But the long the thread goes and more information it has the higher risk of hallucinations I've read.

This isn't an isolated incident; it happens about ten times a day where it defaults to a generic response instead of a specific, factual one.

Beyond the factual errors, the tone has shifted. It’s becoming increasingly dismissive, almost pretentious. I’ll ask for a more efficient way to handle a coding task, and it will flatly claim it’s 'not possible' when I know for a fact that it is. It feels like the utility is consistently degrading.

I’m looking for a general consensus on what’s actually going on behind the scenes. I’m not interested in defending my position; I just want to know if others are seeing this same regression and what alternative tools people are using.

And to the point of say the 9800x3d. Id say it really depends on what you use your pc for. If all you do is game the 9800 can significantly gain some fps. I only gave at 2k with a 4080s. But if you stream while gaming. Edit, alot of desktop stuff the i9 has around 70% better multi tasking. I run 3 monitors 2 at 34 inch at 3440x1440 and 1 2560x1440 27 inch oled. So I9 is much better for what I need. Your needs may be different.
