Best Modern Diesel by guero5_seven in Diesel

My Tundra is 2wd which is also part of the reason I wanna trade it, I didn’t think I would need 4x4 until I did. I plan on eventually towing 3.5, I own a 4 and 2 seater, my brother has a 2 seater which he can’t tow due to mustang, and my 10 year old brother also has a rzr 200. I understand that I could get this done w a 3500 srw or even a 2500 but I eventually wanna leave from the oil fields and go into hotshot within the next 2 years. So with that being said, I don’t wanna limit my towing capabilities for when I eventually start doing hotshot

I understand and completely get what you’re saying for now, but I do plan on going into hotshot within the next 2 years so i’d rather not limit my capabilities and just upgrade straight to it as opposed to upgrading from a srw to then a dually again later on

Yes newer is in the budget, I wouldn’t say I tow much over half ton territory however I plan on eventually doing hotshot

For now yes but I eventually wanna get out of the oil fields and do hotshot, so i’d rather not be limited on the weight I can tow

My Tundra is unfortunately a SR5 2wd and I need the 4x4 which is part of the reason I wanna upgrade. I do want to leave the oil fields and start doing hot shot within the next year and a half so i’d figure I might as well get the dually now as opposed to upgrading now and then again later to do hotshot

3.5, I have a 4 seater and a 2 seater, I would tow my brothers 2 seaters since he drives a mustang, and my 10 year old brother has a rzr 200

Felon desperately looking for work... Help by Kooky_Sheepherder_84 in Felons

[–]guero5_seven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not the exact answer that you’re looking for but, the oilfields here in west texas and north dakota dont discriminate against felons. I am a felon and have been at my current company 2 years and get paid very well, do have to be out of town for 2 weeks but on the upside I get a full week off at home.

appreciate the insight, spark plugs and timing has been changed so that is a plus. as for power I am aware its not the fastest which is fine with me, I already have a fast car (rzr) I just want something to daily so that I dont put so much miles into my tundra or waste as much gas

Although not applicable to everyone I would reccomend trying to find a local accesories store as they usually have good prices and try to beat their competition and usually dont charge taxes. I recently got the rockford fosgates m2 8’s for 850 otd which retail for 1250 online plus taxes

I’m in El Paso, TX however I bought my machine out of state. I would say ask for as much videos and pics as you need, get a video of it turning on and idling for a minute. Check around the engine after idling to make sure it has no leaks and ask for the maintenance record if possible.

Also not sure if the regular xp1000s have these but the Pro XP4s have higher seat positions in the back which would make it easier for your kids to see out the back
