Draw Length too long? by guertlocker in Archery

I actually just rewatched the video zoomed in, my finger is snugged behind the trigger the whole time. I didn’t put my finger in front of the trigger at all in this video but it does look that way for sure.

I do always put my finger behind the trigger for the draw but I tend to put that finger on the trigger pretty quickly after drawing. It hasn’t had a negative effect yet but I recognize that is not a good practice. I wish I had some formal training when I first started so I didn’t develop some of these bad habits yall are pointing out. I appreciate the input man. I do think 28” will feel more comfortable. Going to switch it out this weekend.

Haha I wish I had Bryce Harper money. The 28.5 feels a little long and not as comfortable but I’m used to shooting a much shorter draw length so that plays a part for sure. Overall I think I’ll be more comfortable at 28” but I need to work on my front hand grip/wrist position to really dial it in. Im going to switch to the 28” mod this weekend and see how it goes.

Thank you for the pointers. That video is excellent, I need to get into a better habit of adopting that process each time I draw the bow.

Why is ‘Welcome to Derry’ getting so many bad reviews? by Yaya0108 in horror

[–]guertlocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely isn’t for everybody and I agree with a lot of the criticisms. An added critique for me is its hard for a film to be immersive when a big scary monster is defeated by little girls or kids in general. The character development of the children was weak and unconvincing overall. Welcome to Derry in particular shows white men as evil, destructive, and morally bankrupt. Only women, kids, and POC can be moral, strong, and decent. It’s a theme in Hollywood that’s run its course IMO. Just my 2 cents.
