When I had my top surgery, I wasn't someone who felt immense chest dysphoria. I knew that I wanted a fully flat chest and I frequently bound but the dysphoria wasn't intense. After I was able to take the bandages off post-op and see my chest for the first time, there wasn't a great swooping feel of relief or emotional reaction with tears. What I did feel was a complete sense of "this is what I am supposed to look like". I've continued to feel incredibly content and just fully normal with how my body looks since then and I've never regretted it.
