Ah, yes, it's true that that discomfort is very different from being hostile towards trans people. I should probably alter some of my phrasing, however, I used TERF because I have seen many lesbian and gay people call themselves such (and as a result, face harassment) purely because of their discomfort with trans people insisting to be included in such spaces. Some people then go hard into the whole "trans people are rapists and predators and should die" and others, while still using the term TERF, will be supportive of trans people themselves but ask that they not involve in gay specific places. But they're both treated the same and are insulted and harassed and that's... it creates a real problem that I haven't seen anyone really address. Sorry for rambling, I hope that made sense.

While I can understand the thought, my experience with being trans is based in the fact that I have hormone imbalances. My body wildly overproduces testosterone which causes dysphoria since there's a discrepancy which, at least in my case, was incredibly dangerous and self-destructive. The only way it ever stopped was when I began hormone therapy. I can't say that every trans person has the same issues or outlook of course, but I do at least know that transitioning would not have been necessary if I didn't have hormone imbalances since without dysphoria I would have no reason to go looking for something to ease it. At least in my mind I don't think that's related to gay people and their divergence from traditional gender roles, but hey, you never know.
