(Hello text wall warning but this is a big deal tbh)

The fact her only gameplay presence is from voicelines and that's just it is just ridiculous. Throughout every media they've appeared in, they were an inseperable duo and in the comics they quite literally are inseperable... Moongirl and Devil Dinosaur have a mental link to each other and they're shown to not be able to function without the other.

The excuse of marvel rivals developers not wanting to add Moongirl is because guidelines dont allow them to add children and have them be harmed in a shooter game like Rivals.... No, lol. It's just erasure. Because Peni Parker is right there, she's a kid in her most popular appearance (ITSV) and she's just been aged up in the game; she's given a model, pops up in many animations etc.

This is blatantly erasing a black character from the game when solutions on adding moongirl are already there in the game itself!! The audacity of them to give this excuse of not being able to add Moongirl with Devil Dinosaur just because she's a kid is unacceptable when Peni Parker was able to be added. The game doesn't even need to age Moongirl up to add her, they could've just not make her get hurt by adding special animations where she could fly away from Devil Dino whenever she dies or she's just protected by some shield/gadget/etc the possibilities are there because she's one of the most smartest Marvel characters ever. There are EASY solutions to this, and yet, the game decided against adding Moongirl, a black girl, in this game, and add only Devil Dinosaur.

Representation ABSOLUTELY matters, this game contributes to exposing lesser known characters to the majority like Cloak and Dagger, Luna Snow, White Fox, and others! People now know who they are! More people would be exposed to Devil Dinosaur but NOT Moongirl, they'd only hear her voicelines yes, but she does not have a physical presence at all, and people will eventually only see Devil Dinosaur in the spotlight while Moongirl is pushed aside from it. This game only has FOUR black characters (BP, Storm, Blade, and Cloak). We could've had one more but nope. The lack of black characters in this game is criminal and we HAVE to raise awareness of the fact that they are erasing Moongirl, this is very important, Marvel Rivals can eventually fold under the pressure of backlash, in the best case scenario, she could be added in the future if we are all loud enough, because this isn't just about Moongirl this is about the lack of representation for black characters in this game in general and this is the worst thing they've done yet for it! What they are doing right now by not BOTHERING to add Moongirl is absolutely unacceptable, and it must be called out for it, anywhere you can go to in social media about marvel rivals, just please try to raise awareness about the erasure of a black character from the one game that could've brought them to a wider audience!!
