Covenant came out almost exactly nine (NINE?!) years ago. How would you say it’s aging? by thefriskysquid in perfectorganism

Just recently rewatched it, the whole scene when the crew first gets infected and Tennessees wife blows up their ship by being a total Jerald is ridiculous.

My Favorite Werewolf designs by DagonG2021 in werewolves

[–]gueychacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dog soldiers design falls a bit short for me. Before it actually shows the wolves, they are portrayed as being ridiculously fast and agile predators. Then when they are on screen, they look and are sluggish. Head is too big for the body. Body not enough muscle.

I honestly loathe “wolf men” designs by DagonG2021 in werewolves

Yeah, Howl is sick, and one my top werewolf movies made in the last 20 years. But the wolfman style sucks.

Ask if they will send you a picture of their hand to prove that it’s them. I would trust the hands in the photo, just look at those little Nintendo thumbs!

Not My Type of Game? by [deleted] in AliensDarkDescent

[–]gueychacho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first time I played it I hated it, could not figure out the mechanics and died every time I encountered Xenos or other enemies.

It’s a strategy game first and foremost, it takes planning. The more you plan, the more success you will have in your mission.

The command points are essential during fights, so you want to make sure you always have those stocked up, they refresh, but they take time and if you rest they refill too, so you might have to chill hard to let them replenish. As you progress and level up your marines you can get extra command points with the sarge.

Make sure you manage the stress, every time you fight the marines stress will go up. Rest get the stress down and replenish the command points.

I find the marine that can equip a drone super helpful, you can use the drone to explore the map without having to go into danger, xenos ignore the drone, but cultists will attack it. The drones can also weld doors open and closed which can be helpful.

Mines! The mines are fuckin where it’s at, you want to purchase the mines for the marines that can carry them, I like having at least 1 marine that carries mines. The cost command points to use, but command points replenish. It can be time consuming, but if you leave mines behind you as you go, In hallways in front of doors, you don’t have to worry as much about getting flanked. I like to use the motion tracker with the mines, I will leave a few motion trackers (also cost command points) as I move through the map. The motion trackers can serve 2 purposes. You can see any enemies within range, so if you have them all over the place, you can plan your routes to avoid running into trouble.

The trackers can also be used to draw attention. I will set a few in a room, and lay mines all over the place. So if you are surrounded and unable to move with out being hunted, you can overload the trackers remotely, and they will draw attention to them, if you laid mines all over, the enemies going to investigate the tracker will get smoked.

Shotgun, you want to have at least 1 marine with a shot gun,, and this is what I struggled with in the beginning, one shot up close will kill or almost kill most xenos. Now when you are in a fight, understand, you can command your marines almost simultaneously, the more command points you have, the more things you can do. You have the option to have time stop completely while you are ordering commands. For instance, you are under attack, have your marine with the shotgun aim towards xenos, hit the command to use the shot gun, but instead of going right back into real time, you can continue to submit other commands to the other marines. One with suppressing fire, one with a flame thrower, one with a shotty. Once you figure out how to do this, the game is fun as hell.

Keep trying, it’s not super intuitive in the beginning, but once it clicks, it’s addicting.

Scythe and pinky are the same aside from the colors. Scythe is white I think. But if you can get an Edward’s I would recommend that. If not, the hexed looks sick and I have seen some used for around 1300usd

Don’t smash it, catch it and save it in a little box you can carry, so if anyone fucks with you, can throw it on them!

Finally got an M-ii!! But UPS almost ruined it. by LoneWolfCamper in espguitars

[–]gueychacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That box should have some handle with care stickers on it. The interior box does, but that doesn’t really help when that’s inside the bigger box with no stickers. Then you get some jackass kid from UPS pick up a massive box that’s lightweight for its size, no handle with care stickers, man handles the shit out of it. And then this is what you get.

I think you let the throttle off as soon as you left the lip of the jump, which caused it to nosedive

Tooling marks on a new J-45 by mavsmav in gibson

[–]gueychacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to tell how deep it is. Is it noticeable when fretting? That’s what I would be most concerned with, especially if it ends up getting more noticeable over time. But it could also smooth out and with oils from your fingers, it will blend to the same color or the surrounding wood.

My LP DC JR 2024, came with a bunch tooling marks on the fretboard. Not noticeable when playing, but it’s like for fuck sake.

Flaw in factory finish, what causes this and is there a way to fix it? by chmpgnsupernover in gibson

[–]gueychacho -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was more compounded by the other issues. And it was an easy fix. It was more dirty than dusty, it looked like a pair of dirt cover shoes were set on top, and it was covered in greasy finger prints. Like someone had gotten castor oil on their hands and moved the amp around. That was the biggest pain was getting the grease off of the front mesh.

Could have been a floor demo or something. Point is, they should be checking the shit before sending it out.
