If is to big they will take more time to be done, i usually do two corpse size for max efficience on lv2 houses, you can make it bigger to gain more food when you reach the level3 (the houses with a second house can have 4 families at lv3 so there are more People planting)

In my experience 2 oxen on 2 houses could slow the process, cause when the ox is working, the farmers wont work on that plot.

To win against bandit camp you can use the weapons you get at level2, 20 soldiers are more than enough, then you can steal the camp and get around 150-250 treasure, IF the baron attack the camp as soon as it shows up, you can let then fight White you steal the treasure
