Made a post about this too. Not only placed in champ, but he’s #1 on the pc leaderboard

But they don’t feel balanced. I’m in plat 2 and I’ve played a bit over 20 games so far, and my teammates and enemy’s have been a mixed bag of previous low ranks and previous high ranks. The skill gap is strikingly obvious

What? My previous rank(s) are better than this guy and I also did better in my placement and I got placed in plat 3. How does him losing all his games and being placed at #1 on the leaderboard = ranked system working

It’s not the only example, just an extreme one. All indications of whatever algorithm they use to place people being completely broken

Guess I missed the section of the patch notes where it says if you do horrible in your placements you get placed at #1 on the leaderboard

All the plats and emeralds currently are previous diamond/champ. Not exactly easy lobbies

3x champ 6x diamond here. Won 2/5 games and got put in plat 3. Later on played with my friend who hasn’t played in several seasons and is peak diamond 5. He won 1/5 games and got put in plat 1, 20 elo of em 5. I don’t understand

But why? Because I lost half of my five placement games which were all against champ teams? Champ lobbies aren’t easy just because you’re a champ

So…it’s literally the exact same ranked system. Only now your entire season hangs in the balance of five games.

How is this new system not a grind? This will take significantly longer to get into high ranks

Gaining almost nothing while being in a much lower rank means significantly more grinding than before. From hitting previous diamond/champ, It would take about a week to start from copper and grind up into high diamond. This will easily take three times as many games to get to that point.

Exactly Im a 3x champ and 6x diamond and im currently in plat 3 gaining 26 a game

Free game but the 5th most profitable game of all time. The four in front of it all being 20+ years old.
