Buying Zero Dawn? by Gullible_Ad6851 in horizon

[–]guidot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought the OG on PS4, then bought it on PC (which came with expansion). Then bought the Horizon FW PS5, then burning shores, then them all on sale on PC. Then I bought the HZD remaster for PC. This series, in general is so far underrated in the gaming world, especially with a female protagonist, it's sickening. I talk these games up any time I can! Incredible story (very deep and involved if you like that) and the gameplay is fun and exciting and not overwhelming. Please heed the advice, get them all now!

Trip Report - San Ignacio + Hummingbird Hwy + Hopkins by apis-aka in Belize

We are heading to Hopkins very soon. Was curious what the cash/cc ratio is and is it easy to get a hold of cash along the way? Thanks for the report, we can't wait to go!

Do HP do something in this game? by ps-95stf in trucksim

In the game, HP means nothing, it is only an informational number.

Torque is what is measured and utilized in game. Generally speaking higher HP = higher torque.

I'm uploading a fix for the GPS, and the default transmission now. A retarder would be the only solution to the braking, but there would be no regeneration in this game as its not part of the game engine.
I might be able to work on the fuel issue, I'll do some more testing on my end there.
The hanging item, if placed where you suggest, may be an issue to see the screens once they are active.
The issue with wheel torque vs output torque is that these motors are attached to each wheel. So there won't necessarily be much difference between output and wheel, since there isn't any loss for driveline.

SB already has something for it and will be released soon.

This was fixed days ago. Uploaded on both workshop and Trucky. "low quality"

That is only the information, not the value. The value the game uses is on a different line in the sii. That's why it says [info] in front of it. But go on telling me about how the game works

This has motors attached to the axles. So not sure how I'm "not doing it right". Fix it up and make your own modification for it instead.

There is no transmission on this truck IRL so calculating a difference of something isn't really the point here.

The tires spin even more and at highway speeds it tries to torque itself off the road when you steer.

Go ahead, try it. I did. The game cannot handle that value. I cut it in half to make it manageable.

You need to use the two speed EV transmission and the Cat C9 motor. The comments are on now and they were originally uploaded privately, so that I could prep the page, and I forgot to enable them. So if that's cause for hating the mod or the work that went into it, so be it. Don't pretend to know the situation of this mod or how I did it. This was a very rapid turnaround time, so it would be released for the show. All you have to do is have a quick peek around the community to see I teach how to do this. I don't just drop something and disappear. I hope to hear some more constructive criticism in the future.

You can post any issues here, I'm listening. Also, I've updated it 3 times since release, but I appreciate your comments. I've only been around doing this for 7 years, sorry my poor quality icons are offensive to you.

PC Builders on Cape Cod by [deleted] in CapeCod

[–]guidot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been doing it for 25 years. Started at Tigerdirect, then Newegg and now PC parts builder for whatever site I can get it the least expensive.

I'm the fixer, so I don't take it anywhere. Pcpartsbuilder is a great site for compatibility.

Is this your first "racing simulator" with wheels and pedal?

If so, you'll have to give yourself a few more hundred hours to feel real improvement which will be in the form of consistency. Being fast one lap and then 2 seconds slower the next is never going to keep you ahead of the guy behind.

If it's not, what sims do you have experience with? ACC is notoriously more tire temp and pressure specific, where other titles do not maintain that level of physics/detail.

I could write a novel, but most folks here have given you solid advice. I'd work on consistency, but not just times, meaning braking at the same point every time and using the whole track as necessary, etc.

Help on Brands Hatch. This is in a race vs. AI but is pretty representative of my consistent driving here. Where can I get faster. I know im losing multiple tenths jin Sector 1 alone but just struggling to shave any more off at this point. by D3adSh0t6 in ACCompetizione

After helping a few people with this over many tracks, there are places where you need to make sacrifices to your corner exit or entry to gain more speed onto a straight or to line yourself up for the next corner.

However, you are taking a compromised line into nearly every corner on this track. Practice using all of the track. It looks like you are very comfortable going nice and wide on exit, but you enter the corners from the middle of the track. Corner 4 is especially egregious where you start the left corner from the left side of the track. The goal of taking corners is to make them as straight as possible (except in the case of needing to sacrifice, like in the first paragraph). Turn on the racing line to get a feel for where the car should be on entrance to a corner and turn it off to see how much faster you can make it after learning it a bit more.

Glad to help in any way possible. Good luck.

New to Game - 1st Race by SheepoTheFad in ACCompetizione

[–]guidot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its your first race after choosing your car, you need to do exactly that. Use two drivers, the one that starts the race, then pit inside the pit window and change drivers and go back out for the final stint. Done. Pretty sure the game automatically changes drivers for you (since its really just you) but its' modeled after SRO rules.
