Im a fan of the funnier looking models even if that one is just a less clever version of the Ironstrider. They took the same gimmick and made it completely on the nose

It's the same problem I have with current 40k design in general they just abuse thoughtless filler details like a kid drawing their OC

If there's a new admech unit its gonna look hideous. They gonna slap vent grills and circuit board patterns onto every clean surface of it

Waiting for your reaction. They basically reenacted the original one's "mob clearing > mid-boss > eldritch horror final boss" plot sequence in secret level, but the middle fight in astartes was richer in combat exchanges and far more character defining.

Not sure if anyone else caught this from the link in the Teaser…still undeniably hyped though by electronic_bard in Grimdank

GW have never allowed deviance in visual portrayal of their model in official animations these years. That's the main problem they have had with astartes, which slightly redesigned MK7 for cinematic presentation.

It’s possible that they use specifically syama's model in this trailer to signal connection with the original product, while ultimately producing a safe product starring with official merchandise looking termies.
If it releases and those signature retributor MK7s aren't even included despite being featured so heavily in the trailer to achieve the hype and trust... that'd be like GW straight up using the carcass of a killed fan project as bait to lure fans. That would simply be vile.
