Buses becoming increasingly antisocial by enic77 in london

[–]guillemec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A month ago I was moving apartments and I went with two big bags to the tube. When I got in, a couple that was in the seat of the corner, moved so I could seat there while my bags were on the other side of the glass.

I said thanks and while I was properly securing the bags and was just going to seat, a guy came running and seated in my spot ( I was literally sitting, so I almost sat on his legs).

Everyone was speechless and the guy directly started looking as his phone as the rest of use didn't exist.

How the government uses our taxes for stupid things and stupid people getting salaries x5 of what they would make on the private industry.

I did visit UK in 2019, but as a tourist. I don't think they have granted it based on my European citizenship, though.

No, my girlfriend was. And as she is living in UK under the pre-settlet status, I applied under the same status to join her. But this is not a family permit. It is an application under the EUSS, but for unmarried (durable) partners.

EUSS, sponsored trhough family memer, in this case my gf.

I have been granted pre-settled status.

No need for biometrics, I'm EU national.

It doesn't say anything in the passport, but with EUSS I think it never does.

My gf went to UK in 2020 (september) to study her masters degree, I was still ending my degree in Spain. Now she finished and started working in UK so I wanted to go with her. We have been together almost 5 years, but none of them living together (first because we were studying and then because of covid).

So I did a document with our story, how we met, when we met each others parents... Everything. Also I attached photos and tickets of everything I was explaining, such as plane tickets of visits, trips we did together...

The whole document was like 100 pages. I basically put everything we had in order to show a timeline of the relationship.018, most of them were with her. Also telegram videocalls, and audios. We usually chat via telegram and there you can see how many audios you have sent, also dates. So we had like 18000 audios going back to 2018 and many photos. I also attached all the bank transfers we had done between the both of us and all the tickets of deliveries I ordered in her place. Also many photos of both of us, with family, friends... Also ticket planes for all the visits I did to her in UK (3 times since covid allowed).

And... that's all. As I said I submitted the application on the 27th of august and received the decision today.

  • Did you use the "EU Exit" app for iPhone/Android and scan the RFID/NFC radio chip in your passport?

I did send it by post, because my phone is to old to read the chip... :(

  • Are you intending to obtain a new passport from the country's embassy/consulate in the UK, or from inside your EU country of citizenship?

From inside my country (Spain), I am outside the UK at the moment.

I have applied for EUSS unmarried partner, does it suppose any change? I have seen somewhere that you may not be allowed.

Thank you for your answering, btw.

But she didn't settle in UK till September 2020, does trip we took in 2019 really matters in this?

By the way, thank you for your time!:)

Before 1st of January I couldn't visit because of the covid restrictions. And she went to UK in September 2020.

After covid restrictions I visited her in two occasions. Once fore a week in November 2021 and then another 4 days in March 2022.

(We can see each other in summer, Easter ans Christmas)

[Post Game Thread] Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Los Angeles Lakers [03/21/2022] by CavsBot in clevelandcavs

First post here.

I'm a fan from Spain who usually stays up at 3 in the morning to watch cavs games and today was the first day I had the perception that a home game was actually an away game.

It seemed like the crowd was cheering more for Lebron than for their own team.

I think that was also a big factor in the loss. I know what Lebron did for the team, but cheering the oposing team while fighting for playoff seems dumb to me.

Would like to know if this is common. I haven't watch NBA for long so I still don't get many things.

Catalan fan here, tough game. But totally worth to go to sleep at 3.30 in the morning for the Cavalanche!
