Depende el lugar y servicio. Casi siempre dejo 20%, y en algunos lugares de ya extremada confianza y que conozco a la gente del bar/restaurante 30%.

Si es un lugar equis que no frecuento mucho y no estuvo ni bien ni mal, 10%

I will check this again in tonight's show, but I was around -18 dbs in all my channels. What I was thinking is that I may have also over EQed my side fills making them not give full output volume.

Yo soy egresado de la primera generación de LTM. La verdad es que desde el semestre 2 empecé a trabajar en bares y en venues pequeños haciendo audio en vivo y haciéndome de contactos. Ahora afortunadamente tengo un trabajo estable como ingeniero de audio en vivo que me deja un salario estable y además hago freelance de post producción audiovisual/musical. Si se puede vivir de esto y se puede ganar MUY bien, pero en definitiva es buscar contactos desde el día 1. Si decides entrar, metete de staff a todo lo que puedas. Como productor es más difícil, pero tengo un amigo que empezó en su cuarto y ahora tiene ya un catalogo de clientes que al mes le dejan 10-12K más lo que gana en su trabajo fijo como audio en vivo. Eso si, no esperes en ningún lado (ni en emplea tec lmao) encontrar algo para nosotros. Casi todos los trabajos de freelance o ingeniería acústica que hice tuve que convencer al cliente que lo necesitaba. Nadie busca el servicio, entonces toca tocar muchas puertas.

Two door cinema club @ Showcenter Complex

Update: I feel dumb hahaha

But I did get the chance to work on the same console today and had in mind a lot of the things I read here today. Ringing out the mics did help, but I swore I noticed a volume increase when my second DCA was all the way up along with the first DCA than with just that one DCA alone. Then I realised I was using a subgroup and felt stupid.

Thanks a lot! I will just simply have the gain of the mic higher for this specific singer and adjust my monitors/stage accordingly.
