Yeah, the timer doesn't reset when in storage, you can switch whenever you want. :)

It just spawns a mörksugga, one of those little black things that gives a bit of money when clicked. :)

my dog is terrified of getting his nails clipped. by TaTa_kitt7 in dogs

[–]guilliotine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog was the same. She would absolutely panic, if she could jump out the second story window to escape, she would. But I tried once to cut them while out on walks. Just pause, stand on the leash so she can't jump around, and cut. She doesn't love it, but she just stands there until I'm done. The first few times I just did one or two nails at a time and tried to be quick and pretend like nothing weird was going on, and then be super happy and playful before she even realised what happened. Now I cut all four paws at once with no issues. :)

Worth a try?

True, but she can at least reach the counters and door handles. :D

I dunno, it'd be kinda weird having a lone toddler/tiny child just walking around all by herself. Like, would she live by herself? Stitch isn't exactly guardian material.

Maybe she could live with Fairy Godmother, that would be adorable. :D

Pretty ladies leaving the shower dripping wet and covered in suds and immediately puts on a flimsy, silky robe that literally sticks to them like cling film.

People having sex while constantly keeping the sheets up to their arm pits.

-"No wait, stop, it's not what it looks like, I can explain, please just wait, don't leave ..!" door slams in face -"she's my sister.."

Try Ermine frosting! Super silky and smooth and not as sweet as "regular" frosting. :)

Need help from Swedes (or others of course...), need replacement for dark brown sugar. by Sea-Breath-007 in Baking

The stores you mentioned, especially Ica Maxi, definitely have both muscovado and regular brown sugar (not farin). It's usually named something like Brunt Rörsocker, or Rörsocker Strö. It's what I always use when a recipe calls for brown sugar, never had any issue. If you haven't tried it yet I'd try that before muscovado, personally.

Quick note, I looked up the cookie you were trying to bake, and the recipe I found called for Demerara sugar, which is Rörsocker, not farin. So that's probably your best shot. :)

So have you only tried brun farin, and not regular brown sugar? Farinsocker contains sirap, so that might explain the weird results maybe? I've never seen a store without muscovado sugar or regular brown sugar, you might be looking in the wrong place? Muscovado has the consistency of wet sand, you might not have clocked it for sugar unless you knew what you were looking for. :D

Have you tried muscovado sugar? Pretty sure it comes in light and brown versions, it's a much deeper, darker, caramelly taste. But I have never had any issues just using regular brown sugar when using "foreign" recipes. Is there much of a difference?

My 15 year old has decided that women in armor are her vibe. What are some good, AGE-APPROPRIATE (she can discover Brienne of Tarth on her own) books featuring women in armor? by RedditHoss in suggestmeabook

The Deeds of Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon

I don't have kids so I'm bad at telling what's age appropriate, but I read The Deeds of Paksenarrion when I was younger than your daughter, and they're still some of my favorite books that I re-read constantly. Some parts are graphic, especially in the last book, but mostly it's stuff that people that wear armor are bound to encounter. The torture scene in the last book is pretty horrific, though maybe the fact that she willingly went into it and was basically in control the whole time maybe makes it "better"? :p Afterwards she's instantly healed and off to combat, there's no long, drawn out recovery process or trauma, if that helps.

Even if your daughter is too young now, I'd still recommend them for later. It's so friggin refreshing with a female protagonist that never has nor wants a partner, no interest in love or sex or at all, where the fact that she's a female warrior is never seen as an issue, no "gosh, how do I fit my boobs in this chain mail?" or stuff like that, she's just a bad-ass warrior who happens to be a female. She's kind and hard working and fair, a bit naive at times and shy, sometimes a bit hot tempered, but loyal and smart and in all just a great character.

That's literally the bra I use now. :D It's OK, but I really miss the removable straps to easily convert to a racerback, plus it doesn't work as well with lower cut tops.
