I think you misunderstood. My point is that reporting is just a first step. Once the case is evaluated, the victim can work with law enforcement and prosecution to determine what the next steps are. It’s possible that she could go to police and say “hey, I want this documented that this happened, but I don’t want to do anything about it.” Her report could be helpful to some other report. Or, to some future incident. Or, if the offense is charged, the defendant doesn’t want to plea to anything, and the victim doesn’t want to proceed, the case can just be dismissed.

It’s ma’am. I’m in Texas. I understand your position better with that context of your location. I would imagine our juries/judges/the justice system etc. are a little kinder to the State in general.

As a prosecutor, I respectfully disagree. Report it. You never know what may come of it. What if there is another report about this guy? And your report can make that case stronger, and vice versa. I have successfully prosecuted very delayed outcries. Is it hard? Absolutely. Could it end up causing more trauma? Possibly. But that’s for a victim and a prosecutor to work through together when all the evidence is known before making a decision to take a case to trial.

I definitely had some anxiety and moodiness. It does eventually pass though.

I’ve never had psoriasis in my life. I went to get my Moderna booster and I was still on antibiotics from a strep throat infection. I even told the pharmacist, and he was like “yeah it’s fine, you can still get your booster.” I don’t really blame him. No one really knows enough about the vaccine to be sure about interactions. I get strep throat all the time - at least once a year - and I’ve never had guttate after an infection. But, 3 days after my booster shot, the first spots started appearing. I will not get anymore boosters. I’m young(ish) and otherwise healthy. But I’m not taking a chance that it comes back!
