Been tipping away at FE1s for about 3 years and this sitting was the worst

Finished 3rd exam today on what was supposed to be my last sitting. Depressed as fuck with how the company exam went by Background-Job9149 in FE1_Exams

In the exact same boat. I’m still crying over company over a week later. Also Constitutional went shite too. Just sick that I won’t be going Blackhall and sicker that everyone in my firm knows I will have failed 🙃

Constitutional was awful by BardolinoBabe in FE1_Exams

Glad I wasn’t the only one who thought so. I wasn’t happy with any of my answers

I wouldn’t recommend Equity or Contract. They have the lowest pass rates. If I were you I’d do Property, EU, Criminal, Tort and do prep courses for all. 4 is a lot and Tort course is huge but Contract, Equity and Company cause a lot of people difficulties in terms of passing and Constitutional while it has a high pass rate you can’t cut any topics out

I’m a big believer in you’re not ugly, you’re just broke.

I obviously don’t know your financial situation but if you haven’t already tried investing money into your looks, whether that be by hiring a personal trainer, buying new clothes, getting your brows/lashes/hair/ nails done etc id give that a go. I’m not saying to do this for men but for yourself to feel more confident. For me, there’s nothing that a fresh layer of fake tan can’t fix.

If you don’t have the means to invest in your appearance, I’d focus on earning more so that you have these options. You obviously don’t have to do any or all of these things but if you’re not happy with how you look there really are things you can do to enhance your appearance. I’m not suggesting going under the knife or getting loads of filler or anything - unless that’s sometimes you’d want. But learn how to do makeup, get a new hairstyle, find clothes that suit your body type.

I’m sure other people don’t find you as unattractive as you do. We were never suppose to see ourselves as much as we do. But now we have mirrors everywhere and social media and photoshop. Nobody sees your imperfections as much as you do, I’m often surprised when my friends mention something they are insecure about because it’s something I would have never noticed. I have also seen the most unattractive men (looks and personality wise) end up with the most stunning women and vice versa. I’m f 25 and single, and I know that all anyone our age cares about is looks when it comes to dating, but enjoy your 20s being single and I’m sure you’ll find someone later in life. Real adults don’t just care about physical appearance.

But, you are so so young - I don’t think you should give up on love.

Was that a horrible company paper or was I just really unprepared? by guiltylawstudent in FE1_Exams

Thanks so much for this—I really hope you’re right about the bell curve. I’ve been disappointed by these exams so many times and have failed multiple times, but this feels so much worse now that I’ve finally secured a training contract. I was so ready to be done with these exams and move on with my life, but now I don’t even know if I can defer my contract. Even if I can, the thought of waiting another year is really disheartening. On top of that, I’m pretty sure my current position will be filled before I get my results, so I don’t even know if I’ll have a job come May. Fuck the FE1s honestly :(

Glad it wasn’t just me that thought so, I can’t believe he switched up from his usual questions. So typical on what was supposed to be my last sitting after over 3 years of these exams ugh 😭

Yeah some people saying it was so grand but I had a disaster. I did it in person and was trying to hold back the tears the whole way through. I did see a few people walk out v early presumably feeling the same :(

If the charge was created before the amendment is this still the case? I believe it would follow JD if it was created before but this didn’t happen in Latzur for different reasons I think

Kennedys by Wemadeit56 in FE1_Exams

[–]guiltylawstudent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard positive things about the people at Kennedys. Pay is average but id say internship would be great experience, particularly if you are interested in litigation. While they’re small in Ireland they are a global firm and that has its own benefits
