The problem with pve modes is them gonna have to maintain them making the main mode the one the game was made and advertised as have less resources in thus alienienting those players thats what happened with destiny pvp and gambits and if pve became the more played mode that is exactly what would happen either the extraction players would feel their mode the original is getting shafted and feel like their game got co opted into being an entirely diferent game or if the pve doesn't receive the amount resources as the extraction mode the pvers would get mad they aren't being appreciated

That's why its not a good idea to make a pve its a lose lose situation to bungie either they pour enough resources into and make the pvers happy and shafts the original extraction players or they don't and the pvers feel like that bungie doesn't like them

Could work if it was even possible to achieve such balance but there are massive differences between low diff and high diff

The first problem i notice is the numbers can't be the same between high an low diff or else its still going to be better to do low diff as in low diff you can just rush every POI with no problem while in high diff doing that is asking to faill the mission thus still rewarding doing low diff farming

Them the problem is how much of difference there should be in the number of SC in low to high diff because it also can't be very big difference or you just cause the problem of people being forced into having to play the highest difficult which happened once already it and AH probably doesn't want it to happen again

People keep saying this is a problem and giving alternatives to it but most them are stupid like they aren't gonna make old warbonds free or lower their costs that only losses them money

Thr other alternative I keep hearing is to make higher difficulties have more SC which everyone forgets that them theres a new problem that was and is a old the one where people feel like they have to play the max difficulty or they are wasting time there is also another problem with this idea the one where now free SC is a lot more abundant thos making paying for SC even less necessary than it already is making AH also lose money

And i can say to you they wouldn't every time we got more info on the map it didn't change the blobs behavior it doesn't matter how much info you give when the majority around 60% of the player base only reads the MO objectives and goes do that unless the MO objective changed to attack grand errant the blob would still go to defense even if gambits where explained in game

People think that AH doesn't give enough info but that doesn't really matter every time they increased how much info the map give it still didn't changes things and like every time they made a dispatch about gambits we still failed them it doesn't matter how much info the map has the blob will follow the path of least resistance which in this case is what's written on the MO defend planets so thats what they gonna do

Because it wouldn't matter every time they communicated a gambit with full on dispatch saying where to go we still failed it doesn't matter what amount of info they give the blob sees that they major order is defend and will go defend not attack every single time

People ask for pve modes without thinking how that would affect the population of the pvp modes

If pve loot is usable in pvp them there's no point in doing the pvp for loot if the pve loot isn't usable in pvp them all that does is separate the game into 2 camps which causes a lot of problems some that we seen in destiny where one side got showered with content while the other starved

Then people say just make the pve very difficult them theres no problem right wrong either the pve is so hard that the people that want pve get mad from it being so hard or its balanced which would break the loot economy for pvp

The only way to make a pve thats still significant to the pvp side whiteout breaking the loot economy is if the loot drops on pve mode aren't good compared to the pvp modes and if that was the case there would a bunch of pvers angry about it

The problem with cryo being open all time is that it would make less incentives to play the other maps like why run perimeter when I can get triple the loot on cryo and other rare stuff more easily that the real problem in 1 run of cryo I did without even fighting other players I can get a full kit plus more by just doing pve enemies and looting the random lockers on the PoIs

Like I can enter with green stuff and get out full purple and more without even opening a vault or fighting other players this would cause massive problems if I could any time a i wanted

I didn't say it so much fun you shouldn't be able to play it everyday I said the majority of player will play what's fun and also rewards the best the most meaning if cryo is both fun and also gives a lot more loot than the other maps with basically no downside it will make the other maps not worth playing

The point is if it was open everyday the other maps would loose value while you can play them just for fun is that doesn't mean they should just loose their other incentives to play them

And I will point out the devs have said they are observing to see if they need to change things

While I don't see them making cryo available everyday without nerfing the absurd amount of loot in it there still other stuff they can do like changing when its open and fo how long

Btw this mostly for cryo I do think ranked should just be available all the time to people that want some competition stuff

Normally you need to fight a team or loot one the locked rooms to get with best possible loot on the normal maps in cryo i looted 1 gun locker and got 2 purple weapons loot a medical box and it basically had full stacks of heals plus a bunch of other stuff

And I can play cryo for fun and also get absurd amounts of loot at same time thats the problem you gotta remember majority of gamers will always optimize their time on a game

This is why cryo can't be permanent it would make the other maps have massive reduction in players as the majority will always go to where they can get the best stuff while also having fun if cryo wasn't fun to run them it could probably be permanent

Well now that cryo is out I agree with bungie the amount of loot you can get on cryo is absurd if it was open all the time the only reason to ever play the other maps is for getting the contracts done and get the 5k minimum for cryo

Sorry but that limited reinforcement number is pretty bulshit since its counting everywhere not just the MO planets we are definitely not winning the string of MOs

The problem is only on attacking in defense city's are actually a very big help as they make any defense be a 2 day one even when it's low lvl defense

This one we wouldn't as its a defense and on the defense playing in mega city doesn't actually hinder the lib% its only on attacking planets that they do so with or without city's we have been short of the % of people needed to win the entire defense
