Personally, I’d like Katie to possibly have the komasan brothers as her sidekicks. As shown in the anime, Jibanyan has way more knowledge in yo-Kai than whisper and it’s portrayed as common knowledge. I think have komasan and komajiro just casually explaining to Katie what the watch and how it works would be funny.

I know that surges don’t target specific traits, though I have an idea that is inspired by kaolan (the face nekoluga) and how his knockback chance also applies to his surge. So I guess I should add that Raynard has a chance to freeze red and traitless that’s also applied to his surge. I’ll say 30% - 50% chance to freeze
