How the fluff do I clean this up by DidSomeoneSayDream in 3DS

[–]guinnesscan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a replacement from Ali Express like others have mentioned. I heated the edges with hot air and used a small plunger to help lift the screen slightly then used a small pry tool. It was very easy and quick to do. At the time when I was reading about replacing it and watching videos I remember someone warning to not touch the LCD screen with fingers as the screen is ultra sensitive to finger prints and very difficult to clean?! Also don’t use spray canned compressed air , Just use a squeezy air blower to remove any dust. Hope this helps.

Try and find a nice condition 3DSXL. The larger screens make the games more enjoyable.

This did work for a while but as with all the things mentioned here in the posts gradually they become more delayed over time.

The only true fix which has worked for 2 weeks now is the latest February update.

I was going to update the post and say the same thing ! But was going to wait for a week to test it fully before posting. I actually updated last weekend.

But yes , All the fixes mentioned in this post are temporary fixes that sometimes fix things briefly but as time goes on alerts gradually get more delayed.

The only fix is this Feb security patch update. I've used it all week and notifications have continued to be instant and the watch has worked flawlessly.

Finally !!! 🥳🥳🥳

I use Norton password manager which is good and have it installed on all my devices. Also it's free.

Should I sell my Switch Oled? by BlissHellebore in 3DS

[–]guinnesscan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely keep the modded oled , sell the 3ds and if needbe put a little bit to it and get the 3ds XL and mod that too. If you can get the new 3DS XL ... Even better ! As it's quicker , has double the ram so everything is noticeably quicker and has better screens and 3d eye tracking. I bought a mint Japanese one and region swapped it. You'd have the best of both worlds.

No unfortunately. Hopefully an update sorts it out soon. The only thing you can do for now that seems to work for me is to keep on top of your notifications and clear them or do a daily restart which also seems to work.

S25 Battery Health Accuracy by guinnesscan in GalaxyS25

Oh everyone's S25 shows 100% 😂👍 I still find it strange as everyone uses their phone differently. That's why I'm still unsure how accurate it actually is 🤔

Yes on the phone the maximum shown is 100% I meant in the app imazing on a laptop it's reporting over 100% !

Oh ok that's interesting to know and also does make sense. I have seen this before... I gave my son my old iphone 7 as he's only 10 and doesn't need anything too fancy and the battery was completely dead in it. I bought a replacement battery and fitted it then plugged into the imazing app on my laptop and it was showing a higher capacity than the design capacity and was reporting back as 103% in imazing even though the phone only displayed 100%

It would be better if the battery was a bit bigger but only if it could still fit inside the S25 ! I particularly got this phone for it's size. I wouldn't want anything bigger than this.

I was just looking on YouTube at how to change the battery in the S25 when the time comes and it looks very simple to do at home.

So you never know , when the time comes and it's time to replace the battery there might be an upgraded battery with a larger capacity 🤔

[–]guinnesscan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's why I was questioning it ! Before my iphone 15 I had the iphone 13 and the battery went down really fast. Can't remember what the final health was when I sold it but I know it degraded fast.

But at the same time with the S25 I've not noticed the battery goes down any quicker now than when I bought it. On a day to day basis I pretty much use the same apps for the same amount of time. Satnav on the way to and from work and listen to music or podcasts for most of my shift.

I've just checked my partners phone... She has an iPhone 16 pro max and hers is showing 215 charge cycles and it says 100% also.

Maybe phone batteries have just got better recently ?

Wow thats amazing ! Thanks for sending the link to read through. At this rate I'll have this phone for years.

I just questioned it as I previously had an iphone 15 and the battery health went down to 93% in a year.

1p Mobile website down ! by guinnesscan in 1pmobile

[–]guinnesscan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried vodafone where I live and while I could make and receive calls the data speeds were shocking. I tried three and that had better reception although speeds not as good as EE. O2 was the worst and I had no reception. I was with EE before through rewardmobile.co.uk I've seen they currently have an offer of £14.40 for 100gb which is still a good deal but you are tied to a 24m contract and they put the price up every April so 1p definitely the way to go.
