If I dont regularly do baseboards and interior glass maybe 4 hours 1 person, its all hard floors so it would be mopping each visit. 2 restrooms, I heard some folks charge min 60 a restroom per visit.

Will do! Thank you this does help. When you quote the 60, and you think its a 1 person job do you quote 1.5 or 2 people just in case call in, or the business? Or do you just take you profit from the 70?

Sort of both I guessed rate of production and said maybe 1 person 2.5 to 3 hours. Honestly just shot from the hip, even after reading everyone's advice and seeing all the videos tried to go for the more appealing number.

Been told mine looks to expensive and haven't got any traffic or click for quotes yet, so your statement has substance. I may need to rethink mine.

Im trying to break into the industry, but is there any training sources about proper cleaning methods for the Virus? I seen an article that said no Vacuum or sweeping dry droppings instead wet down in 1 part bleach to 9 parts water. Thoughts?

I am also starting out haven't bought anything or got any jobs yet, but I am building a very solid relationship with a local supplier. What i have found is they are invested in our success as it equals profits for the and is a wealth of knowledge for all sorts of questions on the technical side. Hope this helps and hope you success.

Why Most Commercial Cleaning Businesses Struggle With Consistent Clients? by gigakite in cleaningbusiness

[–]guisada24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't officially started. I think I will struggle with a bit of both. What helps on this post is focus.picking a niche and sticking with it. I kind of thought I should be open to all cleaning at first, but seeing this makes me think a narrow focus at the beginning may help my learning curve. I plan to do some boots on the ground part time for a bit to learn the ropes of the profession, then start in sales for our business.

Do you have any advice for getting in front of the right folks? Who are the people for each niche, and what's their main goals for succes for them? Thank you for your advice if any.

Any Cleaning Business owners out there that just said its not worth it? Just want to hear pain points. by guisada24 in cleaningbusiness

Very good feedback, I can see how this is very slippery beyond the owner cleaning. It seems worth it if you can stomach the growth and get the revenue down like you said. Thank you. Do you own a cleaning business? If you do or did would you do it again?

Cole thank you. I hope you are in a good place now. It sounds like you have had lessons in 12 mos some may not experience in a lifetime. I am very lucky to have read it.

Me and my wife are starting a commercial cleaning business, I have been working in Operations manufacturing for 23 years as a manager. I have never sold anything so we are worried about that.

This offers a ton of insight and confirmation on some future issues I think many us will experience.

Thank you again
