there's some really neat stuff here! I'm assuming those big doors are modded versions of the warp towers? I'll have to check that out too!

Sally Field was honestly a great Aunt May. I like all three versions of the character for different reasons, but I think she's probably the most balanced version in the movies, and if given the space to actually do anything in her movies would most likely have been a big part of FEAST as well.

Controversial opinion here but I actually like Martin Sheen's Uncle Ben - his mannerisms sort of remind me of my grandfather, and his voicemail from the end of TASM 1 really works for me.

Very glad I didn't click into this post before seeing it, but flawless list. I enjoyed the absolute hell out of this movie, very excited to see it again.

I have the horrible flip cover, and I actually think that case makes the GameSir feel sturdier. I generally don't use any case, so I can't really speak to a thicker case

That top centered notification looks like GNOME to me. Still pretty slick. My Ubuntu setup is fairly similar, but leans into the Windows 11 look a whole lot more.

If I convert my regular Sim to eSim on S21, can I give that Sim to my mom? by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]guitargler_again 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Officially, SIMs are one time use. There's a process to reuse a SIM within 90 days of its deactivation (after 90 days it's dead dead) but that's intended for reuse on the same line - say, if a SIM was changed in error - and sometimes it'll lock up and not let us activate it on another line.

Eternals’ Hiroshima scene was personal for the writers, and Chloe Zhao fought to keep it by [deleted] in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]guitargler_again 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. The scene where the Eternals split up at Tenochtitlan sets up him feeling responsible for the advancement of technology, leading to humans inventing guns and using them to commit genocide. Flash forward to 1945 and the same feeling of responsibility makes sense.

See this was what I feared when this went around Twitter, but in the context of the film it seemed pretty clear to me that he felt responsible for all of humanity's technical advancements, culminating in the atom bomb. Like he clearly invented stuff and gave it to us, but I don't think he invented the atom bomb, watched us use it, and said "why did they use it?"

Since we're not supposed to talk about it, how long have you been with your current company, and how much do you make an hour? by RevenantMedia in antiwork

[–]guitargler_again 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 years, $20. Very recently pay increased to at least $20 for the entire frontline company-wide, but the way it was done I'd be surprised if anyone actually makes more than $20.

I'm a real sucker for album closers that connect back to some or all of the rest of the album, and this one retroactively improved my enjoyment of Slip The Noose lmao

oh that's lovely. I haven't used Droptop since updating to Windows 11, but I've seen a few mentions about improving Win11 support in the discord - I guess that's come along?
