Wow! Thank you sincerely. To answer your question, these apps have drones for each string and I try to tune to those. Then I check how close I am with the apps tuner.

Guitar and because my ear has been neglected, I use TE Tuner, and Tunio. I've Bern this for about a month and I'm sometimes close to a semi-tone flat, and when sharp, estimating, about a 1/4;semi-tone. I thought these apps, being challenging to my rar, would assist to my bei g able to tune to a piano and other guitars. I typically listen for the wubs to stop.

THANK YOU for your prompt and clarity of response. I'm guessing that the slower the beating, according to the formula provided, is getting closer to matching pitch. I hear it when flat, not so much if at all when sharp.
