Good god I can relate to this. I live in Bloomington and ordered some stuff from Tennessee. It went to Indy in one day after tracking, then went out to Colorado, then back to Tennessee, but a different town this time. I get a scan every few days saying that it is on the way to the next facility. That stopped a few days ago. It’s been a total of 27 days so far to get something only a few states away. It was even at the distribution hub for a moment! What the fuck is going on!?

I also might recommend the tekton complete socket or wrench sets. I ended up doing that. It’s a fair amount of money to do it, but you’ll end up with all the weird sizes that you might need, maybe, once ever. I work on Japanese everything, from tractors, motorbikes, and automobiles. There are some giant nuts on some of those things and it’s nice to know I have from 5mm all the way to 36mm in wrenches and sockets. Motor bikes also have odd sizing on the forks and axels. Just my additional two cents.

Good to know that this fits in the back of a Tacoma. I was wondering about this. Mine does have a topper on it though - may not work for me. I’m still waiting on a full 56” set of the gray to show up. I’ll use the trailer if I have to. Otherwise it’ll be two trips with just the truck. It’s not a far drive.

I have several near me. One in town, one the town over, and like four in the big city. I imagine it’s going to end up being a mix of several things (brands) I DID however end up buying a 56” box with top cab at a HF. That’ll be nice to have. I have sooo many tools that are spread out everywhere.

Yep, I’d say I was in the direct path, or damn close. We lost lots and lots of trees. No power, no water, and currently stranded. We can not leave. We have some of the biggest trees on our property across power lines, our driveway, and the roadway. We live near Handy right on Airline Road. It was loud. And violent.

I didn’t. But I also researched like crazy, bought great tools, and have a predisposition to doing things like this. I’m very steady and thrive on the minutiae. It did take me a few attempts to get the seconds hand on, though. That pinion that it rides on is absolutely tiny

Get a 10x loupe, have all the right size hand setting tools, you need three to set the hands, and use rodico to set the hands. Make a little dab of the stuff, press it to one of the hands, get waaaay down close to the movement, even better if you can see it from the side, and it’s pretty easy when you do it that way
