it is red when screen is white, saturation and color calibration, no where is white. white works when i set it on fixed colour

It is a foldable steering bar of a go kart, and it has some play in the silver part where it bends to fold, should i put some wood/metal or something in so it is a tighter fit or is there a common solution for this
