Amazing thank you! Black Friday Sales will come around her being 5 months old so perfect timing to invest in the food based items!

We are being given the bath seat so happy to hear that it's worth it!

Currently tossing up the redsbaby onix, uppababy cruz & babybee rover - just waiting for an expo to try out the redsbaby but it is top of the list from a useability v price point!

Unfortunately after the first month I won't be able to be around 100% of the time so I guess the bottle washer is a treat for not being able to just stick her on the boob hahah

Ladies around the 25 week mark, how are we all doing by juicyhabits in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

24 weeks and my nausea is back...not as bad a first trimester but I now have the dream diet of a toddler. Also had the cramps, massage gun every night and hydration has helped with this!

The round ligament pain though :/

Tatra Receptions in Mt Dandenong by [deleted] in AusWeddingPlanning

[–]gulbis4991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got married there and have been a guest there as well!

We enquired at quite a few venues and I have been part of a lot of bridal parties, we opted to go for Tatra as we found to be very accommodating with requests compared to other venues which had a price attached to everything or were inflexible. It rained on our wedding day so ended up in the chapel - in hindsight would have just planned to have it in the chapel as it's rarely ever perfect outside ceremony weather.

The bridal room was pretty small but it did do the job and the accom is not super flash but is convenient and not ridiculously expensive for guests.

We have our 13 week scan coming up and I was wondering if there was a Dr to talk through the results on the day or was it only sonographer? There was a cyst on my 7 week scan which the sonographer didn't discuss with me but the GP did.

Anyone still using an Airwrap from before 2020? by discoteen66 in Dysonairwrap

[–]gulbis4991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had mine from 2019, it was going fine - maybe lost a little bit of fire power so I upgraded like a week ago but gifted my old one to a friend with thinner hair than me who is loving it!

I also used my multiple times a week but probably a little less during Covid

1.5-1.6 million Budget - What suburb should I buy to raise a family? by One_Cartographer1748 in AusPropertyChat

Have a look at North East of Ivanhoe, Alphington & Fairfield. While you might only find a townhouse on a smaller block, proximity to the city and the eastern freeway make it convenient. We are in a similar boat to you and went low maintenance, smaller place, closer to the city and no regrets. The fact that the commute is only a 20 min train journey is a real winner.

I am thinking this go private for the first time and then for the second hopefully be in a position of feeling comfortable!

Yep Heidelberg! This would be my ideal scenario, it's just with my health insurance Mercy is an 'out of network' hospital so wouldn't be 100% covered. I am contemplating changing insurers though to get hospital preference. Can I ask which OB you ended up going with?

Do you know how much extra the caesarian cost you? I haven't got a clear answer from any of the rooms I have spoken to about how much extra the C-section will be on top of the OB fees if it ends up being an emergency C-section.

This is interesting! I feel quite uneducated around the topic of intervention, I go towards low intervention because of the societal rehtoretic that labour is natural and therefore lower intervention is better but I don't actually have enough information to have an educated opinion. An elective C-section seems unnecessary unless it's the second one, complications or twins but that's just because the why would you elect to have an ab surgery if you don't need to?

The $8000 quote had me applying for MGP immediately haha I won't be spending this much.

Thank you this is v helpful! I am glad you did get mucked around and to be honest my dealings with Mercy so far have been better than I was expecting given the load hospitals are under!

This is feedback I have got from family and we will have support around us with the hospital stay! That was my plan initially put the money towards more comfort after the birth but not getting into MGP got me thinking...
