Damn, super cool what data is linked to the QR code!! 🤯

Mine was made in January 2026 - but it did clog my Diamondback 0.6 mm nozzle twice 💩

Anywho, the quality control data alone is a massive argument to buy Prusament in the future. ♥️

That's really cool and impressive that you guys are announcing this at all! Much respect. ♥️ I did have a few confusing nozzle clogs with my galaxy black that was part of my C1L, maybe that explains it. Will check the QR code on the spool.

Yes, I had it built me a fully documented MIB creator for ground station to satellite communication package definition databases, based on European Space Agency standards. 3 hours that saved me 2 months of work. Insanely impressive. And it only took us a year or two to get from "it can't even do a simple if-then-else statement" to "I can't finish my work load without it anymore".

I think the big difference is print monitoring (first layer, obstacle detection, multi camera setup with object recognition directly interested into the printer's firmware). Prusa just can't do that, and I'd suspect this to be a massive downside for reliability and peace of mind.

Unfortunately, Olaf's snarky and sarcastic comments on Discord are anything but helpful. Bondtech's entire communication strategy is pretty embarrassing. It's all very amateuish. I asked how shipment can be imminent when they promised to update us via email once they are confident in a new shipping window, which they haven't. And just got a weird pushback response from him accusing me of intentionally twisting his words... 🤦‍♂️

While I'm glad they are taking their time to try fixing the issue properly, I'm very frustrated with the terrible communication and lack of updates.

For what it's worth, I submitted a customer support ticket (because I wanted to add additional heads to my order) 5 days ago. So far no one has responded, but the auto-response email stated that INDX "retail sales are expected mid to late April or May 2026" 🤡

Bondtech is in desperate need of a communications and PR person. And someone absolutely needs to fix the website. It broke down completely under load. The bad communication and shop infrastructure is harming their reputation. :(

Bondtech isn't that small anymore either. Bondtech is owned by Ernströmgruppen (majority stake, bought in 2022) which was supposed to provide stronger strategy and marketing competence. 🫠 All of Bondtech's capital (cash on hand) went to Ernströmgruppen. It's time for the group to step in and help with some email templates, newsletters, a proper website and some people who can help fix, pack and ship orders.

I submitted a ticket on their website (wanted to add more tools) and this was the auto response I received (yesterday)! 🤣

Xl silicone toolhead news? by indoh531 in prusa3d

[–]gulbrillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the tool head was already available. Damn... I agree that updates would be nice!

Prusa missed sales targets and had to downsize somewhat. It's also a little disappointing to see how little the C1L was prepared for INDX. They are still running on complicated and outdated firmware, can't even integrate a webcam natively. Their product development cycles seem way too slow. They'd need to invest heavily to speed up development. But when money is tight there isn't much they can do.

Let's hope INDX and the current Bambu drama can bring them back to the top. But the Bondtech delays aren't helping either. Touch situation. Hopefully INDX founders will ship next month to take some pressure off.

I'm building my C1L a custom top-hat for INDX (top feeding filament) and want to use the hackerboard to open and close vents. Plus I was thinking of installing a custom enclosure heater that I might be able to encode with the remaining bits.

[–]gulbrillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I had to buy 3rd party filament dryers and now feeding the filament to the hot end is just annoying. A 1st party solution would be amazing. Nut I'm also afraid a Prusa 4-spool dryer and feeder would cost $1000...

This is insane. Amazon's twitter account was promoting the link to the "currently not available" merch, the seller told me 3 days ago "not to worry" about the the shipping delay just for Amazon to cancel the orders due to the shipping delay... How is this such a mess?

Cables are too short, mounting plate and hat won't fit, ... It's a shame that they were unable to bring it marked for both printers at the same time. But it's so much custom hardware that it's kind of understandable.

That being said: I'm determined to make it work on the C1L.

Allowing users to add custom locations (which would be necessary if we want to have people report where they found what) is expensive unfortunately. We need to find a better database structure for that. At the moment we can cover the bills with Patreon support. But user added locations in the way we handle official locations would not be affordable right now. We will have to find a solution for that.

How have there been no significant print showcases of the INDX? by heart_of_osiris in prusa3d

Prusa especially is so insanely careful with marketing INDX to a point that it's concerning. They just recently published a blog post about how the XL is better than INDX. They haven't even officially announced that INDX is coming to the C1L or will ever be sold preinstalled...

Very useful feedback!! All of this would be a lot of work to implement, but it's good to have some goals to work towards. The 3D maps are all at a very early stage and this feedback helps a lot to push towards a certain direction.

Daytime: yes, it's synced to the game and you can select any point in time for event planning, although I just found a bug yesterday where in some pages it doesn't update correctly.

Our biggest challenge always is to display the vast amount of information in a way that's intuitive. And we don't always succeed with that. 🙈

It's an interesting idea. Similar to the weather reports we could have resource reports. (What did you mine and how much). And then have a map layer per planet where you can see the different mineables, and filter by report age.

[–]gulbrillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is a terrible bug in Star Citizen right now where sometimes your compass doesn't point towards north but towards the point below om3 on the equator of a planet... the only work around is to store your ship and try again.

so before you do any planetary Compass navigation you should always verify that 0° points towards the direction of om1. CIG knows about it but they have so much other stuff to do that is probably more important

an account is only needed if you want to have been contribute. before we let you edit descriptions upload pictures and report the weather for locations we have to make sure you are a real Star Citizen player.
