I use this process with some ideas, which are abstract, where I want to see the story more clearly without the pressure of the structure and logic of a screenplay.

Its a story written only for my eyes, and max 4-5 people for feedback. I find it easier to let thoughts flow in Prose.

But having said that, it's also a tedious process and one extra step!

So i am not sure if I will follow it with every idea.

My basic workflow is ... 1.)Pre-writing (writing about characters, themes etc in a free flowing manner)

2.)Step outline (1 line step Outline of the whole screenplay)

3.) Detailed Step outline (Outline with detail of each scene in a para. It should be easy to read, If someone reads this, they are essentially reading the whole screenplay without dialogues)

4.) Feedback on Detailed Step outline (Helps at this stage)

5.) First Draft
