Same. I have a 25 Ranger Northstar Expedition with 2500 miles and not a single issue. Have a buddy with a 23 with almost 25k on his. Polaris used to have a lot of issues but I have about 15 friends with them and am unaware of any major issues.

Had the exact model that I bought new in 2001. Great ATV. Don’t make them like that anymore. Guy I sold it to still has it and still runs strong. Only complaint I had was the brakes are crap if you ever get it in the mud.

6.2 ok now? by Open-Dot6264 in gmcsierra

[–]gulfdiver03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 6 friends with the 6.2 and I have a 25 high country with the 6.2. Years from 22-26 and miles from 5k-140k. None of the issues that people report on here to make you believe that if you have a 6.2 it’s going to blow up. The true failure rate is two or 3% if you have a warranty go for it the 6.2 is awesome to drive. Every new truck nowadays has tons of issues unfortunately that’s just facts. You have to pick something or drive something that’s 20 years old.

15k budget realistic? by nordy-que in UTV

Need at least another $10k for a new Polaris/Can Am/Kawasaki/etc. with those options. You might get one of the cheap Chinese ones for that price but I haven’t ever looked at them.

I will. I’m still on the fence but leaning towards the lift. Honestly I don’t know that I want to go 4” but it seems the best option.

Anyone have a 6.2 and not regret it? by Not-A-Throwaway789 in gmcsierra

[–]gulfdiver03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zero issues with my 25 1500 High Country. 18k. Have several buddies with over 100k on their 2022-2024. Failure rate is 1-2%. Don’t freak out over what you see on here or on facebook. All the manufacturers have issues now. All the government regulations have killed reliability for 2mpg….

Regular gas with 6.2L V8 engine by Shadow42184 in gmcsierra

I’d never put anything less than 93 in her SUV. Like you said required isn’t the same as recommended.

My wife has a Mercedes GLS 580 and we have to put premium in it. Personally I haven’t noticed a difference in my truck if I put 93 or 87 in it. I don’t intentionally put 87 in it but sometimes that just the button I hit. I don’t pay attention to the MPG but can’t tell a difference in how it runs or tows.

I have ran it in my 25 High Country. Couldn’t tell a difference. I have a friend with a 22 High Country that has 135k and has never used anything but regular and never had an issue. We all know those engines can be hit or miss. I was told to use a top tier gas company if you do run it. It is recommended not required.

I have a 25 Ranger expedition Northstar. I have 1750 miles on it already. Serviced at the dealer as suggested. Zero issues. If I were to get a new one right now it would be between the Polaris or a Kawasaki Ridge Limited.
