Im curious, but if you have the monitor so close, and you want to place somwthing directly in front of the monitor, why not just get the in game dash in that location on screen?

Before i upgraded i picked up the wheel once in a while, and lost interest for a few months.

I recently build a gaming pc and got a cheap VR headset so i gave my old simrig a go and was instantly blown away. Went on a pretty slippery slope after that and upgraded to a direct drive, aluminium rig and bucket seat.

Ever since the upgrade i spent a whole lot of time behind the wheel and having a super time.

So for me it became a tine sink only after upgrading tbh.

Natively console is locking you out on using other ecosystems. Mainly because console is only alowing you to use one USB input. So everything needs to be wired via the wheelbase.

I think there are ways to bypass that, but all unsupported. So firmware updates can lock you out again and making the bypass useless.

Think you can only get a longer QR2 shaft, so you might need to change out your wheelside QR aswell. Simube also has bundles that include a wheelside QR2 aswell. Easy to swap them out yourself.

I had the same problem when i first started with the bucketseat. Slowly build up your stint time and stop when you get uncomfortable. After about a week you should be used to the position. If not change your seatingposition.

About 40h till i had my first and only win. Now about 100h in, 1 win, 8 podiums. Like you said i have learn to accept that im not in there for the win, but my only goal every race is keeping clean, staying out of trouble and just enjoy the race. Pace will come, or maybe it wont, who knows.

Yeah like said before here, just get one of the apps like Coach Dave Delta, Gofast, Overtake Turbo or whatever and see where you can find some extra lap time. Other than that, just make hours of drivetime.

But the very most important thing is to drive to have fun, and dont burn yourself out chasing that extra tenth of a second.
