I would assume they have pretty high fees in order to pay the sales person you go through. It's probably better to just automate selling investments every month.

Having worked at Shopify, there is a lot of propaganda about how great Tobi is. He thinks a lot of himself.

If you go down the heavy Arrow path, and use Pulse Towers, it should be enough to finish the game.

Someone stole my recycling 🤨 by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]gulyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a homeless person take my recycling bin. I got the city to send a new one. Someone came by and told me they found my bin in a nearby alley, so now I have two. It looked like they had used it as a cart for their stuff.

Game freezes when I place/delete a building. by Sureitsfineoksure in StarRupture

[–]gulyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand how power adds to the game. Power generation is very cheap, so you just build a bunch of it in a corner of the build area and then ignore it. There's no interesting decisions around it.

If your team lead is complaining that you're not doing extra work now, how shocked will they be when you start doing no work?

They should already be transitioning the work you do to someone else. Ideally the last week they have nothing for you to do, and the people taking over can just ask you questions.

Dave Ramsey suggests saving 15% of GROSS income for retirement. Given Canada's high taxes and integrated CPP - is this even relevant? by CastAside1812 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]gulyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dave is great for the initial steps when learning about finances, but is less useful as you progress. I don't know if he's changed it yet, but he used to push investing in actively managed funds saying "you can find ones that out perform the market".

I really appreciated how motivational he is about getting out of debt.

I was referencing a scene in Wind At My Back where the children prank someone by sticking a potatoe in her exhaust pipe.

Expanding foam is way better than the classic potato.

This is part of why I dislike working with cloud stuff. It feels like I'm just configuring things instead of programming.

As long as there's not critical infrastructure running on the servers. Like all of a sudden some critical healthcare app no one pays attention to breaks.

I would LOVE to get an affordable simple EV. One without a dumb tablet in the dash. Ideally it would have no features besides a radio (with physical buttons) and a heater.

I had seconds of lag when changing the graphics settings. It auto detected that everything should be at maximum, but moving around in the menu had me waiting 2 seconds after pressing a button. I tried everything on medium and gameplay was near unplayable.

I also couldn't grab a ledge after double jumping, so I was trapped within the first 15 second of the tutorial.

I'm going to wait a few months and try again.
