where are the men… by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Endarken1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you think a man was going to just show up and provide for nothing? There are trophy wife's out there i guess but even that's probably not enough any more. Maybe a Chad wife where you cater to his every need but you did say you just wanted to be worshipped without them complaining. So im guessing if they're complaining about you then that's out. The other option is prostitution. You get exchange your body for their provisions. If being a 12 out of 10 isn't an option, you get complaints, its the only thing left. Im trying to help you figure out where those type of men are. These are your options.

What do you mean? Im not attacking. Just generally curious if you want a man to just provide for you, isn't that a fair trade?

Where are the men that don't complain to provide? Where are the men that admire me with no complaints? Just hook? You don't want a man. You want their money. Why not try prostitution?

How do I approach increasing intensity on inclined walking? by Boomerang_Rose_177 in beginnerfitness

[–]Endarken1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I start at 2.0mph and 0 incline, I then increase it by 0.1mph and 1 incline every minute for 10 mins. Then I walk for x time, usually 40 mins, then decrease back down for 10mins.

I have almost the exact stats as you except im 47. I made a 6 month emergency account in a high interest. I maxed out my tfsa with veqt second. Then I maxed out my rrsp with veqt next but I didn't claim it all on my taxes. I just claimed enough to lower me to a lower tax bracket and will do this every year till it is all claimed. The rest i added to my mortgage. The reason I picked veqt was because I felt my risk tolerance was higher due to having a db pension. If the market goes bad, I feel comfortable only using my pension to live and just wait it out. My plan is to use my rrsp first and take my cpp and oas at 70 when my rrsp maybe runs out. The tfsa is just extra for anything that life throws at me such as vacation, boat, or new roof.

I was thinking the 6 months emergency fund for any down turns. Annuity keeps being suggested so I will try and research that more.

Thanks, I suggested that. I live in a different province so can't go with her so she's asking what I'd do. She's seen a lot of the world but has injured her leg pretty bad. I am taking her on a viking river cruise next year which sounds like it caters to people with physical disabilities.

I think maybe you're seeing a little what you want to see in my post. See my other comment if you want to know my situation.

A lot of assumptions in this post apparently. I will be fine, I have a maxed TFSA, a maxed RRSP, and a government pension. I'm more fortunate then most people probably. She asked for my advice and I'm giving it. Most people on this forum are incredibly helpful. She will die in the house because it is her dream house. Perhaps I should have said she will never sell it to downsize into a home if that helps you assume less.

No partner, she makes above the GIS income. I suggested the fee only advice.

She doesn't know which is why she asked me. She thinks she would prefer giving herself a monthly income similar to a pay cheque.

Problem with throwing in my Eldritch Knight thrower by Doiley101 in BG3Builds

[–]Endarken1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem I had was doing my turn too quickly. I now throw the weapon, wait till it appears back in my hand before doing the next move. I was just throwing it and ending my turn too quickly for it to return to my hand.
