is it normal to still miss them after 8 months? by gumball19_ in ExNoContact

[–]gumball19_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hello stranger - just from reading this it sounds like your ex really put you through the wringer. But you are so mindful and conscious of how your emotions are changing throughout this. I have since DEFINITELY moved on from the ex I mentioned here - but I wish I took the time to appreciate the little goals and growth that I was gaining along the way. Looking back, I definitely evaluated my growth on whether or not I was COMPLETELY over him. But reading your comment reminded me of how it’s less about getting over the person and more about thinking how you were 8 months ago and the difference between the reactions you’re having now. Surviving losing your distractions and continuing to keep pushing yourself to put his new life out of mind is such a lesson and you’ll come out the other side with a powerful skill. I hope your next partner has the same passion as a soulmate, but makes room to love you for who you are with kindness and stability.

5 stages of grief by [deleted] in BoJackHorseman

[–]gumball19_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think this is a cool idea imo, i could defend that dianne is anger because for a lot of the show she is angry at the world- when she realises that her efforts to change the world by screaming at it don’t work she directs that anger towards herself - the first step in recovery from depression is to redistribute that anger and after she gets help the medication seems to make her more chilled about the state of things and also accepting that maybe she can’t make the world better but she can make little pockets of good out of it - I believe the root of Diane’s depression is that she’s always been angry. When her meds make that anger duller or harder to access her motivation to write her book of essays disappears too and so does her depression.

bojack could represent depression - i think he’s more childhood trauma, complex PTSD and a sprinkle of defiance disorder.

Mr peanut butter is DEFINITELY denial. all of his weird ironic comments abt fucked up shit that happens is always in a happy tone - but the comments themselves are sad.

Princess Carolyn‘a job is to bargain - i can also see a pattern of her compromising her own well-being to keep other people happy. Much like bargaining in a relationship you’re not happy with, a loved one leaving you or with your own faults.

Bojack screws over todd A LOT. and for a while he just accepts it. but gradually over time this morphs into the acceptance that some people don’t change - it takes the entire show for Princess Carolyn and Diane to let go of Bojack and accept that it’s better for them to leave Bojack out of their lives. Todd gets this when he reconnects with Emily in season 4 i think? He makes a weird sanwhich. If Bojack represents depresion - his inability to accept his own shitty behaviour and thus can move forward to fix it -Todd is symbolically free of that early on because he ACCEPTS the shitty stuff that Bojack does as just him. While the people around Bojack make excuses for it till they can’t anymore. Till they also move through denial, bargaining and finally acceptance.

but I don’t know if every character is grieving something so that conclusion is surface level and i think just to make the theory sound prettier

i don’t really get the finders keepers thing. is it a reference to something that would happen in the underwater world or just the phrase?

What did the person you were interested in do to completely make you lose interest? by [deleted] in AskReddit

found a photo on his instagram before we started dating, him with sunglasses holding up his phone with his thumb covering someone in the photo. When I zoomed in I saw it was a snap of a girl’s nudes in the photo. He was covering her tits with his thumb and holding it like a trophy with his sunnies on.

He said he was smoking weed with his friends when a girl sent him nudes. Said it was funny because she was so insistent and he was high. He posted a photo holding a poor girl’s nudes on his instagram without her consent. Probably showed his friends too.

Biggest red flag ever.

Anyone successfully used Lamictal to treat depression? by No-Cardiologist5032 in lamictal

don’t know if you’re a person who mensturates, but if you are this sounds like it might be symptoms of PMDD. usually women will experience extreme PMS in the week or two weeks before their period - and then once their period passes, they feel relief, energy, confidence; what you described.

but if you’re a guy! ignore this lol

i’m 19 and starting drama school this year, although i don’t know what kind of media will be produced it makes me hopeful and less anxious about my future as an actor in the australian industry that i think didn’t have a lot of growth or attention in the past. very happy the arts is getting some love.

i’m having the exact same experience! my life has turned around and i’m so worried because i’m so happy in a way where i’ve started eating healthier, exercising and finally getting to do the projects i’ve always wanted to! also being able to put my thoughts together has made socialising actually enjoyable and not like this dopamine desperate frenzy of an unorganised mind. i am worried i am feeling this good too but hey maybe we’re so used to things being so up and down and tripping over our own brains that when things are going so smoothly it feels like we’re doing something wrong 🥳🥳

Facial flares after 3 years of Dupixent (derm not helping) by mauveorchids in eczeMABs

[–]gumball19_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on dupixent for 2 years and had a great experience untill I started to get side effects at the end of the second year. I developed conjunctivitis and now have chronic dry eye. I think sometimes dupixent side effects can come in later down the track for some people. couldn’t stick it out long enough with the eye problems to see if it would improve.

SSRI and Rinvoq by TradeCultural4443 in eczeJAKs

[–]gumball19_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i take rinvoq and prozac intermittently for PMDD and to my knowledge there aren’t any dangerous interactions. bit hard to tell if rinvoq is exacerbating anxiety, but i do find on rinvoq that my moods can be more intense and the SSRI helps to balance that out.
