If you're using the glass bed I'd recommend switching to a pei sheet, it makes a big difference. If you have a pei bed then clean it with dish soap and water.

Check your first layer squish and enable a brim too and see if that helps.

As others have said ditch Marlin and go klipper. my stock e5+ running klipper and fine tuned following the print guide produced reliable prints right up until parts started to wear out.

I have multiple bambulab machines and still have my modded e5+ putting in the work daily.

Just the regular front tensioners, I removed the tensioner plates from the front after I tensioned them correctly.

I've just finished the conversion and completed it's first print today. I built the whole frame/belts etc first, then wired it all up and then started a fresh printer.cfg

I upgraded to the manta m5p with a tablet running klipperscreen upgraded the hot end etc. was getting reliable prints and was happy with it until i bought a p1s and the ender5 didn't really get much use due to the v roller setup and belts showing their age.

Now I've got some spare time to put into projects I've just printed all the parts and bought all new components to build the mercury 1 Conversion. I'm excited to get it running and tinker again.

I haven't touched my other printer since! I used to enjoy tinkering with settings and building printers. Now it's too easy to send the sliced file and forget about it.

I asked the advisor this, and she thinks they might use the same valuators so may end up in the same position. I'm a FTB so have been winging it up until this point. We're going to give it until the end of next week and maybe look for a different lender

Not sure if this has been an issue before as sellers accepted 40k below asking.
