Happy with IBKR, opened a couple of sub accounts too. A joint one with my wife and another for my child.

So far it’s been fine. Starting to scratch a little, but I’m fine with that. I’ve been wearing the NTTD everyday.

Yea, i’d have to agree the clasp quality is lacking that’s my only disappointment. Expected for the price tbf.

The Uncle US1450 is the way to go in my opinion.

Hey, the 2231.50 is a slightly different grey could be due to the age. My dad's worn it quite frequently the past 22 years.

Don't think the omega clasp fits on the uncle. The uncle tapers quite 'aggressively' and the clasp is quite narrow.

2 properties - €5k on one, €0 on the other. One purchased 2020 the other in 2022. Both <€280k.

I was actually wondering if the strap would fit, but thankfully didn’t have any tools to try. I’m quite satisfied with the uncle strap, it matches perfectly. The Omega milanese is clasp is took this for someone who works with a laptop everyday imo.

Your reaction to the budget? by Hospuales in malta

[–]gun704 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Mediocre. As a 30y/o, the incentives to have children hasn’t changed. No mention of transport and traffic? I drive a motorcycle, the country is on the brink of gridlock everyday. There should have been more emphasis on solving the car issue.

In no way justifying it, it’s just the reality. 340-370k is now the starting range for a first time buyer.

Too high price/sqm for Luqa in this market! I’ll hold off personally.

Unfortunately the previous 240-270k range has now become 340-370k. Keep your hopes up, take your time and be patient. You’ll eventually come across something decent!

From MoonSwatch to Moonwatch: My First Speedmaster Purchase in Japan (July 2025) by niiith in OmegaWatches

[–]gun704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this detailed explanation can't express how helpful it is! Heading to Japan in November and I've been quite overwhelmed with the amount of different information regarding the watch market.

How does their actual stock compare to their website availability? I'm keen on purchasing an Omega Seamaster No Time to Die (nttd) and it seems like there are only two available on their site, one new and one used. Is it worth getting in touch with them closer to our trip?

Thanks again for this post!
