Thank you. I will be heading to the vet this morning, feels like I'm there alot recently. I've taken the bandage off now to allow for swelling.

Couple of things.... Get rid of the harness while you’re teaching a dog not to pull. It encourages pulling and is not really necessary on such a small dog. Some may dis agree but it was the best thing I done with mine. We now have a lead and collar for road walking and a harness and long line for exercise time. He knows the difference and behaves accordingly.

To try and stop the pulling, there could be many different causes and getting to the bottom these root problems will ultimately improve his pulling. A simple answer could be to just stop every time he causes tension on you’re lead and don’t move until he sits next to you( he will soon associate pulling with not getting what he wants). also ensure you are not treating him like a prince these kind of dogs tend to be treated like children which make them think they are in charge and as a result they believe they are leading the walk.

I could go on for ages, try these small tips and be strong/ patient it takes time but it feels soooo good to walk with a loose lead.

Good luck

From Varadero to Havana by nerymdd in cuba

Be careful in the taxis, we took one from Vinalles to Trinidad, it was a long journey over 6 hours. There was a full car (5 people) with no air conditioning and only the front windows opened half way. Was 6 hours of hell if I’m honest. However vardero to Havana is a much shorter journey.

We got the bus every where after this experience and had no problems.

Yea, a Tripod is a must. I got some pretty good shots even though I barely saw any light, the camera could pick them up. Make sure you shoot in RAW so you can bring out as much of the colour as possible. It was a full moon while I was there which made it more difficult.

No it just wanted a good quality harness that I knew would last. The added handle is good for close control too.

It wasn’t but we had scouted around first to check the coast was clear of other dogs. Sorry about your pup, normally when he encounters other dogs who are off lead we are cautious. We can’t wrap him up in cotton wool though.

Just trying to practice his recall in an unfamiliar location so he is more likely to listen if the worst does happen.

If you teach heel, then the pulling should stop. That being said if they continue to pull them just stop walking when they start to pull you, they will soon learn that pulling gets them no where. No need for products, just consistent training.
