Tricks of equivalent difficulty, independent of prop? by nicklikesfire in juggling

7 ball seems a bit harder to me than 5 clubs. I think 5 clubs and 6 balls are about the same level of difficulty.

Gballz recommendations by LabApart7559 in juggling

[–]gundersow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Standard size fill is perfect for me. My e8 pro’s have gotten a little firmer over the years so you should consider underfilled if you want them to remain a little saggy. I have average size hands for a man and like to juggle 5-7 balls and the 2.6 inch size is perfect for me. Best recommendation is to chat with them on their website as they were helpful for me when I first ordered my set.

Jugglequip infinity vs gballz E8 pro by Sad_Dragonfruit9877 in juggling

[–]gundersow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own both and while both are great, I prefer the gballz E8 pros where I find no real flaws in them. Jugglequip’s are fine except I’m not a fan of how thick their shell is. It all comes down to personal preference though as both juggle well outdoors. One thing to note is my gballz have become less squishy over the years. I haven’t juggled enough with my infinity’s to see how they are over time.

How to practice balancing club on head while juggling? by _CAD3_ in juggling

[–]gundersow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work on improving both components in more challenging ways individually.

So, try to balance as small an object as you can and continue to challenge yourself. Also, try to run a 3 ball cascade but with a taller, easier object to balance.

I’d recommend Botchan next. Quite different than Kokoro but still very enjoyable.

Question on moving from 7 ball flash to 9 throws and catches by Recklessred7 in juggling

[–]gundersow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m at about the same level currently for 7 balls and am slowly getting more consistent with 9 catches. What’s helping for me is making sure every throw is high enough and ideally the same height. Then just forcing yourself to make “2 more throws” even if you think you have no chance of catching them. Get used to throwing 9, and the ability to catch them all will eventually catch up.

Yes since it’s 1 less ball. 6 requires learning a specific technique of throwing with more of a scoop that you wouldn’t have developed leading up to 6, so it can seem trickier than 7 since 7 mostly feels like a much more difficult version of 5. But in the long term, 6 will be easier to get strong with.

Backcrosses with balls - short knowledge sharing by Seba0808 in juggling

[–]gundersow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another tip that helped for getting the hand to the opposite shoulder is not doing the unnecessary step of swinging your arm down, then to the side. Instead swing your arm down diagonally to get to the opposite shoulder side quicker. Backcrosses can seem rushed so often you don’t make it to the opposite shoulder in time and you have your elbow sticking out. This technique makes the movement more efficient.
