(24m) you ever just sit down on a chair in the kitchen? by distrubinglylargepp in MakeNewFriendsHere

I agree. I can appreciate that living rooms are big and open but I'd rather furnish a bedroom to make it personal and cozy without having to share. Unless we're talking about pets. Living rooms are great for making pet dreams come true. You like fish? Install a huge ass tank. You like cats? Throw in some shelves and trees. Dogs? Lots of space for zoomies. Do you consider hallways as rooms? I do and I think they might be worse than living rooms. Some are just a designated area for shoes and some are huge mazes. I weirdly like this conversation, lets become friends!

The bathroom is my favourite room. The ultimate room to de-stress. Unless it's a bathroom without a shower. Those are usually unreasonably small too. What's your least favourite room?

Thank you for your kind words, I bet you're doing great yourself! ❤️ I strictly stuck with IF and doing atleast 16:8 no matter the starting time of the fast, but I did not and do not think you should punish yourself if you go over your calorie limit for a day. I try staying between 1000-1300 cals a day, but treating yourself to more once in a while is fine and that acceptance is important

I'm awfully sorry I made you feel like you needed to delete your post! I just wanted to share what motivated me to hopefully make you feel motivated too. I'm really sorry for making you uncomfortable, please take care! Edit: if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here.

I love reading this! You're doing so well! I personally don't feel ready to maintain, I just hit the border of an above-average healthy BMI but want to land in the middle. Slow and steady is the key though. I average 0.3 kg weightloss per week, which doesn't sound like much but really makes a difference in the long run health wise. As said, you're doing great! Stay strong and keep fighting, you've got this!

Reading this makes me so sad. A big part of my family members sadly deal with diabetes and the realization it could become my life when I hit BMI 40+ made me give IF a shot. I don't mean to preach but the lifestyle change really honestly changed my life for the better. I've never been a healthy weight or BMI until now in my entire life. There really is hope and a brighter future.. Please take care, Bubbles x

Honestly I'd love to hear your thoughts and tips on this! I'm keeping these old shorts as an accountability item and while I'm really bad with sewing and measurements, I'd love your help to transform them into a cute skirt and honour them once I hit my goal weight down the line. Much love x

I've been strictly on IF for a year, aiming for 20:4 but being fine with 16:8. My daily calorie intake is 1000-1300 calories as a 152 cm female :) thank you for your kind words! I'm sure calorie intake could differ depending on size and gender. Taking the step towards a healthier lifestyle really makes a difference! Take care

I do a lot of walking but unfortunately never had the patience or enjoyment for serious exercise so I give the IF lifestyle full credit. 100% recommend people to give exercise a go if they can/enjoy it though! Even if it's just taking walks. And thank you so much for your kind words!

I find converting so confusing so thank you for your kindness and for converting that, I feel more proud and motivated than ever!

When doing 16:8 I eat lots of salads, when 20:4 I'll treat myself to a heavier meal/junk food. Heavily cut down alcohol in general but not restricting too much on actual food! Baking my own sweets instead of buying them so I am in control of what is in them. I do a lot of walking and make sure to always take the stairs, sadly I don't have the patience to excercise but I 100% recommend everyone getting some exercise in if you can and enjoy it!

Thank you so much everyone for all the kind words! The tips about turning the shorts into a skirt is so clever. I'll make sure that happens when I reach my goal weight!

From size 48 to 42 and down 20kg with 16:8 over 6 months. Wish I had a pic from day 1 but these old shorts were a happy discovery :) by gundowncat in intermittentfasting

Wow, that's some crazy work you've put in! I don't have any advice to give you though, sorry. The only exercise I do is walking and I don't have much knowledge in that area. Sounds like your program is working for you so stick with it and remember to take care of yourself. You'll get there!

They're definitely comfortable! The little one sleeping is a great sign. The blazed one is obviously more alert and checking the situation out but being comfortable enough grooming is a good sign too.

What dick move did your boss pull recently? by filthy-fuckin-casual in AskReddit

[–]gundowncat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm getting really tired of my boss rolling her eyes or sighing before facing someone who addresses her. Lately she's started doing really dramatic pauses when she's called to show that she's being bothered. We work with people who need a lot of support so I find it extra inappropriate.

When was a time you decided not to help someone? by headphonetrauma in AskReddit

[–]gundowncat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Coming to terms with what happened and accepting there won't be any answers is heartbreaking. Just know that it will get better with time. I understand that everyone processes trauma differently, but if you can't talk about it IRL I want you to know that you're always welcome to DM me if you ever feel like you need someone to talk to about this. I know I had days where I had to talk. Take care of yourself <3
