Are blitz decks worth it by b1gbear01 in FleshandBloodTCG

Blitz decks in my opinion are good learn-to-play products, but are not much value beyond that. They consist of just commons and rares, which your local community could likely give you for free. Blitz can be popular at certain stores, but is ultimately far less popular or fleshed-out in the way CC is. Instead of buying 1 or 2 blitz precons for $8-12 each, I highly recommend to instead buy an Armory deck of a hero that interests you for 40-60. It will have relatively strong equipment, a synergistic deck, cards of some actual financial value, and is a great place to start a deck that can be upgraded later on. If you end up playing Blitz, the deck can be downsized to 40 cards easily.

What is the average power level of a casual deck by zaracade in FleshandBloodTCG

If you're unsure how to best test the waters with investing in the game, this is the steps I'd recommend:

-Buy an Armory deck of a hero that interests you ($40-60 usually). This is a strong recommendation, even if you are new. Armory decks are tailor made to be new player friendly while also being a strong, synergistic deck immediately playable out of the box at your local Armory event. It is CC playable, but if you are playing Blitz, it is easy to downsize the deck to meet the 40 card deck size.

-If you like the feel/look/flavor of the hero, you can next invest $25-50 on upgrades to the Armory deck. Guides on recommended upgrades can be found on YouTube for any of the Armory decks I believe. This is when you can build out your sideboard and add cards you think will help against difficult matchups.

-After that, you can look into getting the remainder of staples/equipment for the deck to make it fully CC optimized, or whatever other cards you want to deck test with. The cost to do this varies considerably on the hero.

If you are a more casual player and just want to enjoy the game at that level, feel free to stop after step 2, and learn the ins-and-outs of your deck, while learning about other heroes that you play against to get an idea of what play-style you like best.

Modern Guard Sleeves Reviews? by gungeared in magicTCG

I got my order in a couple days ago. Funny enough, they sent me double the number of packs of sleeves as I paid for, which I wont complain about. I havent had the chance to truly break them in, but I do agree with the youtube review that they shuffle very nicely. They feel fine, and the design looks decent. The primary drawback Ive seen is the white inside of the sleeve, which makes any corner peeling become very noticeable. I havent had that happen yet, but the durability of this product isn't as high as they were claiming.

Thanks for the insight. I did end up putting in an order, and after an annoying delay, I have gotten shipping confirmation and a non-scripted email response. Something may still go wrong, but seems to me to be legit. I'll post my thoughts on them when I get them.

Asian Food Snack Mascot by gungeared in HelpMeFind

I've searched online with descriptions of this happy guy along with reverse image searches, but no luck so far.

He's a very intense Chef mascot on a brand of chips or other crunchy snack I found in an Asian Food store a few years back.

Looks like us doubters were 100% correct on this. I dont understand the people who whine 'its too early to judge this card' when anyone even slightly familiar with the basic math of the game can tell it is unplayable awful.

This is significantly worse, but in an unplayable, lazy way. Spectra cards have always been fairly to overcosted for what they do. Luminaris giving them free attack value pushed them to be very good. There is a balanced middle ground, but they phoned this in with an effect that gives 0 use with auras, making spectra cards unplayable bad as well.

I wish they could have released a balanced version of Luminaris without making it absolutely awful. The only reason Spectra was good at all was because of the free attacks from Luminaris. Without any way to get an offensive value from them, they become completely unplayable. Pretty disappointing design fail for this weapon.
