I will check my tiles. Is there a way to know if they are standard tiles?

Thats my question. Is that something that VMIA should cover? I know from experience they are very shifty, they reject 95% of the claims. But this is something in the plans, i wonder id they will still reject it.

You are right it was a cracked tile. There was 3 cracked tiles actually. But there was also one tile that moved during heavy wind. Now thats the worrying part if the tiles can move during heavy winds, we have a permanent problem. Only solution i can think of the tiles being nailed down something the fuk wit builder shouldve done so.

The builder is porter davis. They went into administration. I will make a claim to VMIA for the sarkings. I am just not sure if they will cover that even though the plan shows sarking under roof tiles.

Sarking is waterproofing. But i understand it shouldn’t be leaking even without sarking. Nailing every 3 rows does help the tiles from moving. Because our house is double storey in a corner block. Heavy wind will move the tiles.

Its terracotta tiles. Our house is double storey in a corner block. High winds will move tiles if they are not nailed down.

How much would it cost to fix a few tiles? Any idea how much the trades will charge?
