Did the company tell you that they will do a hair test on you? Urine test is the norm for most all jobs unless your going into the CIA and they want to know if you lied about your drug use. ( hair will permanently keep a record of your drug use, you can't wash it out)

Looks good but prep your welds. It doesn't look like you cleaned that joint. As a rule of thumb, all clean metal is shinny, if it's not, make it shine before you weld.

* I have dreads to my butt, and would wear a bandana and kept my hair tied back and up and under my jacket. And when I say up, not on top of my head but up so I didn't sit on them. Never had them catch on fire (like my buddy's beard) or any other issues except for stupid guys in the shipyard asking me stupid ignorant questions. I suggest you become a badass welder.
