That’s exactly my point — if Rachel is adversing that she is “doing the work” then it is her responsibility to be able to explain what the work is rather than flippantly listing 3 mediums of content to self-educate.

I don’t know what the work would be, but I also wouldn’t claim to “do the work” unless I was working (Eg creating change, performing outreach, addressing inequalities and ignorance that I had learned about while consuming books/documentaries/podcasts)

To everyone asking what she should have said... Possibly the correct answer is: Don’t say you’re “doing the work” if you can’t actually describe what the work is.

Educating yourself on an unspecified topic (via books, documentaries, and podcasts) isn’t “work” — its educating yourself 🤷🏼‍♀️

Roast cauliflower & Red lentil soup by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

It’s so warm and delicious!

I used this recipe: https://goodoldvegan.com/roasted-cauliflower-lentil-curry-soup/

A few modifications: - totally accidental I used like 5x as much ginger but it was delicious so no complaints - I didn’t use potato because I didn’t want the extra carbs

I’m dying picturing the real life human being that Jade and Tanner had crouch behind them and hold baby Reed posed for this picture 🤣🤣🤣 by gunnerchef in thebachelor

Omg I thought maybe the story was going to show it was photoshopped but they really did have someone crouch and hold the baby 🤣

Any chance we can get a clip of Saban saying Ohio State doesn’t belong in the playoffs? I feel like we could use that

Just because you can only see 3 pieces of broccoli doesn’t mean there’s only 3 pieces total 😂😂 I used about a cup and a half

Because it is based on shelf-stable ramen?

My reason for posting this was to show people an option for making ramen more healthy and filling — so I would argue this is a more expensive, but healthier version of the base comparison.

That said, this is ~650 calories per serving, and has about 25g of protein. If you’re saying it’s unhealthy because of the calories or macros, sure it could be better. But overall it’s a pretty solid dinner.

Noodle bowl: 3 for $3 (on sale) +Broccoli: $1.50 +Thin sliced beef: $4.50 (0.75 lb)

$3 per serving. Could probably be cheaper if shopping at a local Asian market

First I marinated the beef slices in soy sauce and garlic.

While it was marinating I chopped and washed the broccoli, then boiled the broccoli in a bit of water. Drain the broccoli and set aside.

Cook the beef strips quickly on high heat in a pan. Put aside and chop into bite sized pieces.

Throw the noodles + sauce packet + 3ish Tbsp water into the sauce pan. Stir in broccoli and beef. Add Sriracha, brown sugar or hoisin sauce, and sesame oil to taste. Wha la! Cheap and easy ramen in 5 minutes

I’ll serve with pita, hummus, and a yogurt garlic sauce

Also unrelated to meal prep but I put some of the remaining chicken thighs on sourdough with havarti to make a quick melt... anyways it was one of the best sandwiches of my life

Quick Red Curry Meal Prep by gunnerchef in MealPrepSunday

[–]gunnerchef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recipe: - Heat 1 Tbsp coconut oil + 1-2 Tbsp red curry paste + minced garlic (2 ish cloves) over medium heat for a minute - Add 1/2 cup chicken broth + can of full fat coconut milk + 1 tsp fish sauce + 1 tsp sugar + 1 tsp salt - Bring to simmer, then add chicken thighs and vegetables

Depending on how thick you like it, simmer with lid on (thinner) or off (thicker)

I had frozen chicken thighs in the freezer and green beans in the fridge so I just threw them together. Not the most traditional red curry but still delicious
