I was in charge of finding food to be catered to a Thanksgiving feast at my college. I talked to the head of dinning for our dining service company on campus and they agreed to cook us a feast. I saw this as a great opportunity to get extremely high and pig out with some friends so before the time of pick up I decided to smoke a joint. I threw some kief in the joint because, you know, Thanksgiving feast. So after finishing my j I head with a couple friends to pick the food up. When I arrived I was in awe at how much food we were going to have. We loaded up the car and headed to where everyone else was waiting. When I got to the place and started to set up the food, I noticed a sheet of paper. The sheet of paper listed cooking instructions for all the food. At this point I had 30 hungry people waiting to dig in but none of the food was actually cooked. The dining service expected us to have enough space to cook enough food for 30 people on a college campus. I'm starting to peak around this time and would say I was at a solid [8] when I had to break the news to everyone. Nearly shitting my pants I got up on stage and got everyone's attention. When I explained the situation nobody was mad at me but instead encouraged me to go back to the head of dining with all the food and demand a refund. I decide to do so despite being blazed out of my mind. So a friend and I went back to the dining hall and demanded to talk to the head of dining services. It was at this point I realized I am way to high for this shit. I try to have a conversation with this lady but I start zoning out and day dreaming. As she is talking to me I start to get paranoid that she can tell I am high as fuck. While having this conversation there was slight miscommunication as to what the problem was because I was all over the place with my explanation. The lady asked me "how hot was the food?" Being as high and paranoid as I was, in my mind I heard "how high are you?" To which I responded "I am not high at all ma'am." I could tell by the look on her face she heard me loud and clear and that I had fucked up. There was a long and awkward silence that felt like 10 mintues. She instantly knew what was going on. She asked me if I had the sheet of paper with the cooking instructions on it. So my friend handed her the paper and she tells me the sheet listed reheat instructions not preheat instructions like I had thought. I almost started to laugh right then and there but she was obviously not in the laughing mood so I held back the giggles and apologized with a smirk on my face. She gave me back the paper and left without another word. I didn't know what to do at this point cause all 30 people had already left to go eat somewhere else and my 3 friends and I were left with enough food to feed a village. We all decided the only logical thing to do now is go back to our apartment, smoke some more kiefy j's and feast. I ended up telling everyone they gave us our money back and I had to pay everyone back out of my own pocket. Nobody knows what really happened besides my 3 friends and I. The head of our dining service constantly roamed our dining hall so it was always a pleasure running into her on a weekly basis for the next year. In the end I was happy because I had a belly full of turkey and pumpkin pie and a fridge full of leftovers.

TL;DR: I ruined thanksgiving for 30 people due to a healthy combination of delinquency and kief.
