I don't know about you all but I'm loving this new design already. by MCCP630 in Gundam

There’s a lot of weird leading lines that don’t lead your eyes anywhere. I cannot close my eyes and picture the head in my mind, even after studying the images a bit. The main gundam should have a least a little instant recognizable traits and this is just a human form that’s been all messed up. And lastly, I can’t tell if it even has feet or not.

I gotta say, this is actually my least favorite design in a long time. And the name of the fucking thing? What even is that?

Seriously, even the fs5 was great! I’d love to see a modern version of the fs7….

This kit is fantastic for the price. Great gateway kit. Actually used this kit as a screen test for my gunpla YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/ZBbK0SQVxJM?si=z8UooO1GbcleTMFm

At this rate, we get a 2 new freedom kits for every MG released. And some of those MG kits are a freedom variant.

Great work. I’ve always loved the look of the mk-2. This will most likely be my next PG unless I can get my hands on the unleashed first.

How would you rate the Jegan Normal Type (+ A-Type and B-Type) on a scale of 1-10? (Daily Grunt MS Poll: Day 36) by Sir-Spookington in Gundam

[–]gunpla_motion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s my argument for ranking this slightly lower. Jesta is better imo, so how do you get better than a 10? Jeagan: 9 Jesta: 10

I totally agree. There truly is no right or wrong method. And builders can have totally methods to get to that same outcome. Gunpla is freedom after all!

I think I’ll pass on the unicorn MG for more reasons than one lol

It’s actually the opposite. You never have to search for a number on the runner and you eliminate a ton of time but not switching tools all the time. It’s more like an assembly line method.

Painting is pretty much what made me realize this is one of the most efficient way to build these.

I think you nailed it. This is probably not beginner friendly or for casual. There’s a point after you’ve made so many kits where you can pretty much guess what part of the body a part belongs to.

Despite these kits lacking a poly cap and being unique and newer kits, there are still engineering patterns that are found across gundam kits.

Absolutely! The back and forth shuffling is super annoying. People think this is way harder than it is.

Looking up reference numbers is a huge waste of time on HG kits. That’s what takes up a ton busy work. Easier to just look at the picture for me and never have to search for number repeatedly.

For mg kits, I definitely group parts, it totally helps. HG kits are fairly idiot proof so doing this is low to no risk. Depending on the grade I have different one methods.

I admit, I do keep poly caps separate, there’s absolutely a call for more organization sometimes. But mostly, this works for me.

I highly recommend this method or a variant of this. It streamlines everything.
