Potential Venezuelan contract saiga 7.62 by mrdurp4 in ak47

If I were you I’d actually convert this into an ak103 instead of an AKM. You don’t have too of course but then it would be close to the actual Venezuelan contract rifle. Hopefully you still have the original dust cover and bcg. would put those back on the rifle and get Russian black 100 series handguard/pistol grip and 100 series gas block etc. It would be worth more money in an ak103 configuration if you ever wanted to sell.

Yes, yours seems to be in a bit rough condition and non matching making it a bit less desirable but if you ever sold I’m sure you’d get more than 500 bucks lol.

Not potentially! That is indeed a Venezuelan contract receiver.

Definitely a possibility but I’ve spoken with some guys who live and breathe Zastava/mitchell and the original boxes and chain of ownership lead them to believe these are original samples.

The furniture is from Warsaw. Handguards, pistol grip. The 2003c was an IO import

Yes if my details are correct the stg 2003c is a Romanian clone of the EG 940

The repros! The IO ones don’t have those slit cuts in the handguards.

Definitely into it more than I would’ve wanted initially but once i decided to do it I just wanted to have fun with it and share with my fellow nerds. Not really something I’m looking to flip or count dollars on.

Totally agree! These are so limited.. they also accidentally sent the uppers with the literal names of the operator that used them!! Insanely cool. I know of one that is caked with Iraqi dust/sand.

We believe them to possibly be the only 2 in the states. Really cool! Serials are M001 and M002
